The procedure went well. The doctor saw some erosion at the edge of the duodenum but doesn't think that will pose a problem. He took a few biopsies, but otherwise it was smooth sailing.

However...I have not felt well ever since. I ate a scrambled egg and a sausage patty after the procedure. Unjury broth for lunch, followed later by a SF popsicle. I just don't feel good. Not exactly nauseous, but I just don't want to eat anything. I've been having watery diarrhea all day and my stomach hurts.

I'm hoping this is normal. i'm not passing any blood or vomiting. I just took an antacid, but it hasn't helped at all. It's not horrible enough to call the doctor. I just don't feel good.

It better get better by tomorrow. I've got a 3 hour home visit to a see some medically fragile children and I really don't need to be sick.

We are glad to hear it's over and all went well. Yes, this is normal.  Give your self some time and get some rest.

Thanks for the reassurance. I've never had an upper endoscopy before so I didn't know what to expect. I've had colonoscopies before and they never made me feel bad (other than the prep--yuck!)
