Hi Friends, I ran out of my usual Centrum Silver chewables (I was taking 2 per day) and decided to buy the 'easy to swallow' Theragran M. Has anyone tried this vitamin? Do you think it would be a problem if I had two caplets a day? Is Centrum superior to Theragran M? Do you think that chewables are better absorbed than caplets? Thank you in advance for your kind response.

centrium silver I do not use it because it lists NO iron. Same with the Theregran M, NO iron listed. Theregran M has a lot of things I have no what they are too. Personally I use the Vitasmart [k-mart brand] and it has everything I need in it, cheaper too. I take the Centrum Silver Chewable because it doesn't have iron. I think iron is better absorbed when it is taken by itself with Vitamin C only. Lynn J., lap RNY 9/29/04 -155 lbs.

yeah, the one you posted does list the iron - it is listed as Ferrous Fumarate - but most companies tell people this is iron and that site didn't for some reason

Oh and what GETS me about it? It's a real waste to put the iron in there. Sadly, as necessary as iron is for most of us, when you take it in a multi with calcium, zinc, Vit E, etc...they compete with the iron and THEY WIN. So you can't even count the iron in a multi when you take it It's like this great race and poor old iron just cannot compete. Sigh...and yet, they continue to put it in multis. Grrrrrrrr
