My bracelet is made up of Swavorsky crystals but the medic alert is like all the others. A nurse in the ER told me it was beautiful. I told her I was afraid it wouldn't be noticed as an alert. She said that would be incompetance because they are all trained to look at both sides of both wrists.

We can have a tube after surgery, many patients have unfortunately had to have one for one reason or another. I asked my surgeon about a bracelet that said no NG tube and he said health professionals, being a nurse or doctor who would administer the tube uses "feel" to place it in. When they meet resistance they stop - so according to him there is no need for the bracelet. He said doctors in emergency rooms know how far to put the tube if needed and wouldn't "force" it farther than it goes comfortably.
