Not to tell stories out of school, but our dear friend with the very large vocabulary had an agent get really, REALLY curious about a bottle of Miralax at the LAX airport when we were leaving LA. The agent just could not grasp the existence of such a product. ( Hope she doesn't mind the anecdote!! )

That was so funny I had to read it to Hubs.

I was reminded of a time when I packed a can of pork & beans in my bag as a joke to my colleague who was disappointed we couldn't get jacuzzi tubs in our rooms. I had it wrapped in paper with bubbles drawn on it and "Instant Jacuzzi" printed on the new paper. They left me a love note in my bag and had slashed open my new label only to find the can of pork and beans. I had to laugh to myself picturing their faces and "WTF"

I seem to always get stopped and patted down in US customs. I still have metal in my stomach which seems to set things off. I actually asked at my last appointment at the WLS clinic

Well its definitely a no to any liquids over 3 ounces, maybe if you buy the dry kind & a blender bottle you can use that, then buy the water after the check in/after you land.

Maybe you'll avoid less hassles if you sign up for the TSA pre screen. It's a shorter line & your identify would already have been verified. You get a KTN, known traveller number. It costs I think $85.00 and lasts for 3 years. It's worth it if you travel a lot.

NY to DC is pretty much a commute for me these days...willing to be hired as an uber-type driver between cities if needed. I need extra cash to pay back all those surgeries
