I am above 40, so i want to show any kind of progress and commitment. I do knkw about some hoops but i should know more once i get to my orientation at the end of the month.

What is a pcp?

What surgery are you looking at having? That does make a bit of difference on how you eat.

I would prefer the sleeve.

Ask a lot of question when you see the doctor and it does depend on your BMI as well. I had a BMI of over 60 and I won't have been as successful with the sleeve as I have been with the DS.

I am close to where you have started with your BMI, what kind of questions do you recommend?

If you don't have a documented pre-op weight yet, I suggest you wait if orientation day is when they will record that. Also, does your insurance require a diet, and when can you start recording that?

I dont know if my insurance requires a diet would I find that out in orientation?

Because policies are so customizable, call insurance yourself and ask. The insurance gal at my surgeon swore up and down that I would need a 6 month diet to get approved, and my policy required no diet at all since I had been morbidly obese for more than 2 years. Calling myself saved me six months of waiting.
