Teacher Forced Young Boys Into Group Sex -- Transfer Addiction, Maybe (?)

Was reading this tragic item in the new earlier this week, and noted that the defendant claims in the last paragraph of same:

  • * * * * *

Per the affidavit, when asked by police about the allegations against her, Fortinberry did not say she regretted her actions. Instead, she told the officer she "regrets the day that she lost weight" and "doesn't think she would run into any of these issues if she was still 150 pounds heavier."

* * * * * *

Defendant's claim got me to wondering if maybe she is suffering from a transfer addiction (i.e. sex), big time, as often occurs following major weight loss (even w/o WLS ?) .. and possibly/probably other post-op psychological "issues" as well ..

What do you think -- legit claim possibly, or just an excuse?

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

Paul - where do you get this stuff? Still using AOL dial up... lol. We know hundreds of post ops who choose to blame their behaviors on their altered PHYSICAL bodies...

NOT to say that transfer addictions are not a REAL things- I have dead friends, who found out, first hand, out how real they are...

But group sex, with minors? Nah...

It can mess with your head, make you chase attention. But her "transfer addiction" excuse? Nah, sounds like BS to dodge accountability. Weight loss doesn't flip you into a whole new person.

I agree! The 2 very precious I have lost, Liz and Loralea, were "chosen sisters", part of a very close group- but we couldn't save them.

Their deaths- after a few years, of mostly alcohol, coming back, from their pre-WLS, after over 10-15 years, of being sober. Later it was illegal pain killers and meth, ruining families, careers, their healths, and so many lives...

Yea- can you tell "transfer addiction", is a touchy subject, for me?
