That is a very old before picture, I was fatter before I had wls actually then that picture. The after is a new wig I got a few weeks ago, I still like to rock the wigs from time to time.
Here is a before, during and after with my real hair from a couple of days ago.

Thanks! I like to donate my clothes to Goodwill or Salvation Army instead of consign them because I like the idea of them going to charity. I don't buy much anymore, I can go shopping in my own clothes for things I forgot I had. This year I am cleaning out everything and getting the abundance of clothes whittled down to what I really wear. Before I moved I donated 5 30 gallon bilns full of just clothes and shoes and boots and kept 5 30 gallon bins, that means I have far too much for one person.

Hey Gina,
How are you? Hope all is well with you, you look great!
Before
After

If I drink I make sure the alcohol is floating around in a milk based drink, like a toasted almond, thats what I had at a recent party and lots of ice. It was fine. I drink very rarely but as long as I have my drinks watered down with milk its fine.

Nope as I lost I tossed, that was the rule and now that I have been at goal for many years I have way too many clothes that fit, like a storage locker full of bins of clothes and that was after I donated half to Goodwill when I moved out of my house. Once I buy a new house I will figure out what I want to keep and the rest is gone. Its great to be the same size for many years and be able to get rid of your clothes because they are out of style not because they don't fit.

How much time are you really spending outside? I am spending virtually none so my energy is unaffected. If you are out shoveling every storm you are probably getting a great workout with that right there. I mean we have mountains of snow here in Connecticut, and very cold weather but I don't think walking back and forth to my car can really count as exercise.

I was off my diabetes meds before I even left the hospital after rny, so I didn't have many crashes at the beginning at all, nothing was bringing my numbers down at all since I was taking no meds. I have reactive hypoglycemia and when I eat too much sugar or carbs I do crash and need to bring my numbers back up sometimes, you must eat a protein based snack to do that. I never had any problems in the beginning at all, not until I introduced carbs, and this all can be controlled by diet alone if I am very careful.

I dont eat before dinner Mon-Fri, I eat healthy protein forward dinner, I don't cook much and I favor chicken. I eat two snacks before bed, typically greek yogurt and nuts. I like food with texture. I do not drink ant calories, and I drink lots of diluted iced tea with lemon all day. I don't have hunger, I only walk for exercise and I limit calories to 1000 during the week and 1500 on weekends.
Good Luck.

I watched my grandmother die as a result of smoking, my grandfather as a result of drinking and my mother as a result of type 1 diabetes, she was never an ounce overweight a day of her life. Death sucks no matter what the cause. You can post this stuff I guess but I doubt anyone really cares or they never would of gotten MO in the first place. Some people treat their bodies as temples and get cancer and die, sometimes its just **** luck. I have my own end game plan and I can assure you it does not involve the ICU. Luckily that is a choice that you can opt out of.

Don't scare the OP with the bowel cleanse and the depends stuff, not all surgeons do a bowel cleanse, mine didn't and no xray after, that was all done while I was still under. I never had to get up to pee either because I had a catheter for the first couple of days. I did however get up and walk 6 miles of loops around the nurses station. Thankfully my experience from my surgeon was nothing like yours.
My best tip is to ask for everything and anything to prevent nausea from the anesthesia doctor, that really makes all the difference in the world.

The stuff I brought and used, lip balm, facial cleansing wipes, if you are diabetic your own testing kit, and a soft fluffy bed pillow, makeup to wear home, nothing makes me feel worse then looking like **** Of course now I would make sure I had my phone charger but ten years ago I wasn't as obsessed with my cell phone as I am today.
Good Luck!

I had to lose 10lbs and keep it off until the day of my surgery or risk it being cancelled. I had a hard time losing the weight but once I did I was very proud of myself, I actually lost like 12.5 lbs before surgery. You are scared and this is your coping mechanism, you need to check yourself and really re-set and get yourself in a good place, of course easier said then done, success is all in your hands, so use this opportunity to restart your life at a weight that makes you happy. Today is a new day.

Thanks your comments mean a lot to me, I never push wls on anyone but am always will to share my wls journey with anyone who is interested. It's important to me to stay grounded and real.

Thanks, I lost to goal in 2.5 years, so basically by 2007 I was at my ultimate goal and have stayed there ever since.

I made peace with my natural inclinations to eat, I don't eat during the day and eat starting at dinner and two snacks at night. Why keep fighting what you want to do naturally. Just make sure these calories as well as all the calories you eat are accounted for and the night snacks are purposeful to your health.

Thanks! I am keeping up the good fight!

Thanks, and I always try to honor the person who inspired me by coming back and showing that even those who aren't fanatical about diet and exercise and vitamins can be successful if they put in a little effort.

Congrats on your success. And thanks for remembering me.

Thanks! I have bad days where I eat nothing and worse days where I seem to eat all the time. But its all part of the learning to be a normal weight person. OH does help me remember and never get ****y. Regain is so easy when you get ****y.

You can, not everyone dumps, its has helped me maintain though, I just have to be very careful.
Good Luck.

Thanks. I like to remember where I started from so I remember when I eat why I don't ever want to go back to that pain and embarrassment.

What happens is you eat sugar/carbs and your body over orders insulin production due to the altered anatomy absorption of food, so as your bs may go up initially it goes way down once after the over abundance of insulin goes into your blood stream. It is a common issue for people with rny, it can be controlled with diet, but you have to be very careful.
