I had gastric bypass in 2010 and I just had a baby 6 months ago. My weight when I had the bypass 292 I went down to 215. I gained 35 lbs with my pregnancy and I'm taking the depo shot as well. I'm in New York I'm thinking about getting the DS done. My eating habit is poor as well. I often wonder if the DS will work for me. Also I have no complications before and after the gastric bypass. Which surgeon did you use?
Congrats lady. You've done an amazing job thus far. Heads up for the inevitable bounce back after the honeymoon. For most of us, it does come, but it also totally controllable if you stay vigilant about your routine. Keep the meals small and protein focused, even when you know you can tolerate more.

On 05/03/12, I started my weight loss journey. I have accomplished so much since them. No more diabetes. No more blood pressure medication. I can wear knee high boots (and yes they do go over my not so big calves now). I can wear some heels. And short dresses. Life is good.
Of course there was some drama along the way. Haters who thought I shouldn't have any surgery. Haters who thou
gth I lost too much weight. Family and friends who did not recognize me.
I am proud of the fact that I am able to do things I have not been able to do before. So no regrets. Just enjoying life and learning about the new me.

Thanks for the encouraging words! You are right, I just need patience... I am patient about everything except my weight loss..lol. Great news, I have started losing again!

Hi everybody! I"m a pass my year anniversery as of April 26. I truly have to say this have been an amazing ride. For all my OH oldies thanks for all the support on my journey before and after surgery and for all my newbies with lots of research and positive support this could the best decision you'll ever make.
