I knew it never would for me...so I chose the DS.
WLS is and individual choice, and while one surgery works well for one person, another will not.
I don't mind the massive quantities of vites I have to take, if it means I will never have to do another restrictive diet again. My sleeve takes care of the portion control, and my malabsorption keeps the weight off, and for good!
You look marvelous, and I know you feel marvelous, too!

Unfortunately, Jazzy I think you may have missed my message in this thread or MAYBE I was not clear.. this thread is so totally NOT about surgical tools NOR surgery types ... I believe in and respect personal choices and NEVER get into promoting or demoting any individual making a choice based on their own INFORMED consent.... to each his own is my motto ...
The best tool I wrote about is LOVE ... please read my thread again ... it was written in celebration of mine (post DV, rape, surgical interventions and WLS) and my husband's (post kidney transplant and foot partial amputation) and our victorious testimony despite all life's challenges ... this was the celebration of our wedding anniversary ....
Yes I am very happy with my surgery type and just as happy for you with yours ... the meat of my message IS LOVE ... and the first statement in my message if it is read past the title is....

RNY 2/5/07 no regain having implemented lifestyle changes....
Topic: What do you wish your were told before you had gastric bypass surgery but were not?
I'm schedule to have the gastric bypass on OCT 10th, although I'm very excited I must admit I'm extremely nervous. I know this is going to be a huge life changing event for me and all those around me. Just wondering what advice could anyone offer and is there anything you wish you knew pior to surgery but didnt? Thanks

Hello BAF forum! I was dropping in to tell you my latest update. Well I'm 15 pound give or take 
away from heading back in the 100's zone. This have been a complete life changing journey and I wouldn't change a thing.
NSV
1.lost 3 bra size
2. A regular size towel fit me without looking like a handtowel.
3. lost another pants size (still thick in the thighs) lol
4. old friends barely recognize me

Thanks Lee I am on FB everyday all day I didn't think to go there. I will see you there. I am going to sign up for the gym Tuesday, but in the mean time I am going to walk the mall 6 times, that's 3 miles at Greenbriar Mall. Thanks for your support.
