Topic: RE: Anybody schedule for Surgery NEXT Week 23rd

Hello! I started my pre-op liquid diet on the Jan 14. My surgery date of Jan 28th was successful. I am now 12 days post op. I see your date was 5 days before me. I was looking for ppl who had their procedure around the same time as mine. so that we could encourage and support one another. You are 2.5 weeks out. Hows it been going for you?

Topic: Anybody schedule for Surgery NEXT Week 23rd

My surgery is scheduled for the 23rd, I start my Post Meals on the 16th for all liquid drinks, losing for support and someone who is also just going through the surgery or anyone who can continue support with me. I know that I have to do this and I am willing to take one step and day at a time to stay focus. I know that it is going to be hard, but I have the determination and with GOD's help will do my best to stay focused each and every day.

Hello everyone I'm wanting to know if anyone had vsg while on medicaid/soonercare in the Tulsa, OK area? If so who was yo primary doctor and who was the doctor that did the surgery. I have heard some things on here about a bariatric clinic in Owasso but im not sure if they accept soonercare. If anyone has any advise or experience please share with me.

Has anyone been successful with seeking behavioral counseling after receiving weight loss surgery? Was it suggested by your weight loss center or physician?

Topic: Protein Feast to jump start weight loss

Hello,

I'm new to this forum but not to OH. I had WLS 4/14/2003 went from 289 to initial weight of 170. In 2006 after my first TKR surgery, I was unable to continue my walking regimen and started gaining weight. Now I'm treading water (water aerobics and swimming) 4-5 times a week. I'm hoping there is someone here who can shed some light on RNY revision surgery (is it worth it) or if I just start a protein feast to jump start my weight loss again?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I am not sure what this is - but from what I read, was this because of the weight gain. And how are you doing? I have gained about 50 pounds, I have a great deal of reflux, but I contribute this to be the norm. I have been eating up Zantac on a regular.

Topic: Negativity on this website?

Why is it some much negativity on the BLACK AMERICAN FORUM?

I made a positive post and some reported it talking about I'm trying to sell something! Like really?

I'm post-op 10 years now and I currently work for a bariatric clinic. So me being the person I am, always willing to help or inform others, decide to share some information that I had in regards to a 1200 calorie diet.

Someone reported it said I'm selling something. We have to do better my people! Now I see why I stayed away from this site for 5 years! This suppose to be about supporting each other and sharing knowledge but it's to much negativity going on.

Be blessed my people!
