I did it! I did it!

Hi Everyone! I went skiing last night and it was outstanding! So beautiful and so romantic! It was lightly snowing the pine trees were covered in snow and the lights on the mountain just glimmered through the trees and the snow on the ground sparkled. It was quiet and peaceful and riding the lift with my DH by my side was incredible! When we first got to the mountain and I looked up, I told my husband that I would probably only be able to do two runs. Well, I ended up doing 11 runs! Swish, swish, thank you Lord! Skiied hard and only fell once and I wasn't a bit sore this morning. I know I am a fanatic about skiing and it is proabably hard for others to understand but this surgery has given me back a gift that I can't even begin to describe. And like I have said before, a good run is like a perfect prayer - it just happens. And last night I spent some quality time with the Lord! Hi Dawn, So true. I thank God for a sister like you that pays attention to the sermons. My family loves to discuss the sermons on the way home from church and it has been amazing to my husband and I just how much our children through the years have gleaned. Honestly, I sit with anticipation on some Sundays when I can see where the pastor is going with something. I almost want to jump up and start shouting. I will tap my toes saying to myself "oh, please say 'this' or 'that'" And you're right, I do retain it. I think it's because it means so much to me. Love, Dawn

Lynda, I am so happy for you~!!! I understand how you feel about skiing. I lilved in Alaska most of my life and went skiing too, just not as passionate as you are about it maybe cause I wasn't as good as you. But I always was good at nordic skiing and really enjoyed that!! I am glad you got to be with the Lord on the mountain, and were safe coming down it!! I love you Lynda you are awesome! Steph

Funny thing about skiing or anything else that one may want to do - it isn't how good you are at it, but rather how much you enjoy it or how it blesses you.
