Home & Banded

Well I survived. I am home. I got banded on Thursday, released late Friday and now I am trying to 'function' at home. My left shoulder hurts so bad, is this still the gas? My left hand is swollen, this is the hand they put the iv in. Please if you could just pray that this pain subsides soon, I would really appreciate it.

Hi Patricia, I am kinda new around here, but I just wanted you to know Im praying for you and I hope and pray i will be on the losing side with you soon too. I dont know much about the lap band because I am going for the RNY so I dont know if the risks are the same or not, but I had a friend have RNY back in June and she complained of her left shoulder hurting and they told her that was a sign of a leak and sure enough, they took her back into surgery, I dont want to scare you and Im praying its nothing but that was her only symptom and she didnt even know that was one of the signs, she was just telling a nurse she thought she threw her shoulder out trying to get up.
