Friday's rollcall

I hope no one is doing this at the same time as I am.... Good Friday to you. I'm glad the weekend is here. "I seek you with all my heart; do not let me strayfrom your commands Psalm 119:10 niv. that is my request , not to stray from The Lord or His commands. I let my daughter put stripes in my hair last night. I can't believe I did that~but it looks good. Q.O.T.D. I didn't really think of any~this is the hard part. #1. What's your favorite day of the year? Today ~ Yesterday's over, and tomorrow isn't here. #2.What kind of computer do you have? I don't know a lot about computers, but mine says emachines on it. #3.How much time do you spend watching tv? I don'****ch tv. #4 How much time do you spend reading/studing the Word? Not as much as I should. I'm ashamed to say any where from 10 minutes to an hour per day (that is really bad). #5. Any prayer requests today? God bless you, Annette

Goodmorning Annette! I have to say first of all, that I love reading your posts, and have copied off some of them for future use. Thank-you for your faithful sharing. OK, #1. I like your answer! But I love the days best when I am busy and not procrastinating ( a real problem of mine). I sets me up for a string of really good days. #2. We have a DEll computer. #3. I usually spend time looking for ways to blow the thing up!! Actually, years ago, I was complaining to my DH that it was a real detriment to our family life, but the argument went nowhere until I asked God to remove it from our lives. WELL, the very next time my DH went to turn it on, it blew up!! Wow! DH just said, well I guess that's a hint, isn't it? And we did not replace it. Those were the best years ever for our family, and our children now are so grateful for it. We did bike riding, fishing, they learned to go clamming, trap rock crab. DH did science experiments with them up the gazoo, and lots of reading and library trips. If anyone reads this, I recommend gettting rid of the TV!! #4. I am very undisciplined with my time. Sometimes hours, and sometimes none at all. I have been very grateful for my memorizing tho, because it keeps God's word in my heart 24/7. #5. Yes, please keep my oldest daughter in your prayers. She is 34y/o, and has been struggling with my loosing wt. She wants desperately for me to be successful and to feel better, but is frightened of the emotional and relational changes that may come. We have always been very close, and she also struggles with wt./eating issues. She also wonders if the changes will affect her parents marriage in a neg. way. We have talked to her to reassure her, but she is still hurting. I love her so, and pray that in time she will see that God does not want any of those neg. things for us, and that our love will grow stronger through this. Kathy B

RE: Friday's roll call Hi Kathy B., You sound good today. When my kids were teens(2 of them) and the other 2 were still little, my husband and I decides to give the TV away. The kids weren't very happy with that at first. then they liked not having it around. They discovered books and the love of reading, using their imaginations, and the wonderful outdoors! Not a one of them watches very much TV. Now I have to work on my grandson~who lives in front of the thing. I will keep your daughter in my prayers. There are so many changes that take place is the lives of w.l.s. patients. I can understand her concern. As long as we keep The Lord the main focus in our lives the rest will be ok. Not to say there will never be difficult times in our lives, just that The Lord gets us through them. God bless you Kathy, Annette P.S. You love my posts, and even copied some of them? Hi Annette! Your brave doing the stripe thing lol, that's funny! 1. ummm not really sure, I really like birthdays, and Christmas 2. we got a new HP a few about 6months ago with fax printer, scanner it is really nice, we need it for our business 3. too much, cartoons mostly, it is hard for us to go outside so we are in the house a lot and run out of things to do 4. not as much as I would like with two babies, I try to read before going to bed since the mornings are so crazy with sippy cups bottles and breakfast 5. Our business still needs prayer, we have a big job starting in a couple or three weeks but nothing NOW, we cant go without work for that long, so please pray that we could find something in the mean time! Hello! Glad to meet you all here each day! Thanks for starting it Anette. 1. Favorite day of the year? I guess I like them all but since TODAY is my favorite as well (This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!) 2. I have a Dell at home, and that is what I have at work as well. 3. We did not have a tv the first 7 years of our marriage. Finally got one when it became apparent that our sons wanted to go to the neighbors to watch cartoons. I enjoy watching some things on the history channel and Discovery as well as Fox news. 4. I would like to be able to say a lengthy time too but in reality it is more like 10 to 30 minutes just depending. However I do generally watch a program each evening depending on what is on for that evening. I like "Church live at Riverview" and another of the Australian programs. plus I get a tv station called Prime Time, that has great teaching programs from some Messianic Jewish teachers and I like that a lot. 5. Praise report, my SIL who had surgery gets to go home today so any who said a prayer for her thanks! She is doing well.

I don't think I have one.. I'll go with your answer...TODAY #2.What kind of computer do you have? at work a compaq..at home a dell #3.How much time do you spend watching tv? not much...i don't have time to watch TV. If I watch 1 hour in the evenings..that's too much. #4 How much time do you spend reading/studing the Word? Not as much as I should and yes, I'm ashame to admit it. I do listen to it in my car, here at work and on my way home...does that count? #5. Any prayer requests today? Yes, I do have a prayer request. Hi everybody. Thanks for getting us going, Annette. I missed roll call yesterday! It's after 4 p.m. today, so I'd better get busy and answer the QODs. However, before I do, I want to let you all know I have a praise. I have been able to sleep in my regular bed for almost a week now! Praise the Lord! #1. What's your favorite day of the year? I claim Annette's answer: Today. Thank you, Lord, for another day to praise Your name. #2.What kind of computer do you have? Mine was built by someone with PC Club parts. #3.How much time do you spend watching tv? Too much! #4. How much time do you spend reading/studing the Word? Too little, but I am working on it and am making progress every day, with God's help. #5. Any prayer requests today? What's your favorite day of the year? it used to be winter, but as ive gotten older, i appreciate summer much more ;) 2.What kind of computer do you have? i have an eMachines as well 3.How much time do you spend watching tv? 1-2 hrs per day, especially now since ive been recuping.. but will be back to work on Monday 4 How much time do you spend reading/studing the Word? none.. am working on it, gonna visit a new church nearby on Sunday 5. Any prayer requests today? yes.. me and my daughter are visiting a new church on Sunday and i hope that all goes well. thank you.
