Hello, Jacinda! It's good to hear from you, too!!!! I pray that the Lord will touch your marriage with His love and vibrance! I also pray that He will show you what His plan is and what you need to do or NOT to do in getting things organized. I know how that can just make you feel like you are sinking! Bless your heart! I Love you! Cindy

Hi Cindy and everyone else. Wow! It's so great to see some of us old timers posting today! Thanks for kicking things off, Cindy. 1. What are you planning on doing today? I'm going to stay dry and warm. We had snow that started a little before midnight, and it has been snowing off an on all morning. That's very unusual for this time of year. I also want to start working on a quilt project. I am finally able to do some of these things that I haven't physically been able to do in months! Thank you so much, Lord Jesus. 2. Do you have any exciting plans for this spring or summer, since your weight loss? If so, what? Our family is going to take a week's vacation together the end of July at a resort/private community in central Oregon. There are lots of bike/walking paths, swimming pools, sight-seeing, etc. It will be a fun getaway for all of us. We're renting a house from friends of ours at church, so we can have lots of family time and celebrate 3 birthdays too! 3. Do you have any disappointments in your WLS? No. It saved my life. 4. Are you able to eat anything you want? If not, what? Sometimes I dump if I have overdone the carbs. 5. Do you have a prayer request for today that we can all lift up with you to the Lord? I go in for tests sometime this spring to make sure my stomach cancer has not returned. I am praying for peace about it. Thy will be done. Hope you all have a great day. God bless you, dear brothers and sisters. Peg

Peg! I've missed you! It's so good to see you! I've just said a prayer for you for your tests to be perfectly normal, in Jesus Name! Your summer plans sound like a lot of fun, too! God bless! Love, Cindy

Hi Cindy, It is so nice to see you!! Everytime you come on the boards there is just less and less of you!! You look great!! QOD: 1. What are you planning on doing today? Well, I already did the biggy. We had to go get new tires on my van. That came to the tune of $300..yuck! At least I know I won't blow a tire now. I hope to get out and walk today since it is so nice. I had to skip the gym because we got the van worked on so taking a walk would be ideal. 2. Do you have any exciting plans for this spring or summer, since your weight loss? If so, what? We live about 40 mins from the Jersey shore. I can't wait to go there with something cute on and know I don't look like a fool. 3. Do you have any disappointments in your WLS? none. 4. Are you able to eat anything you want? If not, what? Per my doc I can have anything I want. I'm a little harder on myself them him though. I refuse to eat red meat, pasta, breads, sweets, and soda. The way I figure it, these are things I should avoid anyway. 5. Do you have a prayer request for today that we can all lift up with you to the Lord? That He continues to reveal His will for my life. That I seek Him first in all decision making. That I am patient to wait on Him for direction. That I apply my study on the virtuous wife to my life. That my husband will be ordained and be a Sr. pastor soon, but in God's timing. That I will not be ashamed of the word of God and go out into the public to witness more than I do. God bless you!! Good afternoon everyone! I'm getting a late start on my day, but I have missed being here, and hope to check in more often. #1. I will go to the bank and take care of a couple of the reimbursement checks from our ins. co. for our $ we paid up front for my surgery. My DH said to put it in a separate acct place for new wardrobe money when I hit goal!! He's such a sweetheart!! Than I go to the post office tomail a book to a friend and drop off some bills. Than a quick trip to the grocery store for milk and coffee. Today I will also finish my "clean the garage if it kills me" project!! This will be my 3rd afternoon out there, and I hope the last for a while!! #2. My youngest daughter and her new hubby bought us all tickets to see a show in Seattle (where they live) in May. We will fly up to spend 4 days with them, and Amy wants to take me shopping and see how happy I am with the new figure, even though it won't be completed, I will be well into unseen territory since oh, about 20 yrs ago. She's so excited for me, I can tell, because she hates shopping, and she's insisting on a fun day of it!! Really makes me smile, and thank God for such a family as he has blessed me with!! I, too hope to do a veg. garden this summer, and be able to do the work myself. We will also be going to Vegas (which I really don't like), for a med. conference for my DH. It is such a good conference series, tho, and DH doesn't like going without me. Soooo, I told him this time I was going to schedule a full body massage, and maybe some other spa experience, like a facial and nails, etc. Have never had a massage before dt my embarrasment over my weight. So that will be a great new experience!! Also we have a dear friend in Henderson, Nv., who I haven't seen in about 3yrs since the last conf. we went to. Also this time I will be able to do more walking to see some of the gardens, etc. #3. No disappointments so far, just gratefulness and hope. #4. I'm near 2 months out, and doing well with just about everything. Having a bit of a problem with the protien powders, etc, tho. The smell, and the tummy reaction are tomake me somewhat nauseus, and reluctant to use it. This concerns me, because without those means of help with the protein, I can't eat enough to get the right amount of protein in! Just this am, I tried some Any Whey in my scrambled egg, and it went down ok, but I have felt nauseus again for the last couple of hrs. Any suggestions? I'm still very careful with anything with sugars in it, and won't eat anything that goes above 3-4 gr. sugar content. Haven't dumped yet, and am glad to have bypassed that exp. so far!! #5. I have been very moody and weepy this week, and I think that my DH may have had the idea that all would be well by now, so far as anything emotional goes. I happen to think we will have a long way to go as I adjust to this change. So please pray for us as a couple, that we will be able to communicate effectively, and that this surgery will bring us closer together, and not drive a wedge into our 37 yr marriage. Also, my oldest daughter is struggling with her own overweight issues, and is at her heaviest ever @ #230# approx. at 5'6" tall. We have always been very close, and now she is struggling with fear over my success, and being left behind. It breaks my heart, and I would appreciate any help and prayers in this area. Thanks for the time. I really am making up for lost time, I guess. Cindy, I went to your profile, and reallly enjoyed it again, and the pics are wonderful!! You're looking wonderful, and I am so happy for you!! Love in Christ, have a great day!! Kathy B.

Hi Cindy! It is so good to see you on the boards today. You are looking so wonderful! I know you must feel great!! To be honest I have been a little reluctant to do roll call today since most of the questions are surgery related. I hope you don't take offence to this. I think I am just having a hard day all around anyway. I really want to be a part of this group so I will answer the questions even though I have not had surgery. 1. What are you planning on doing today? Its after 6pm here now, I didn't do too too much today. Bathed the kids, packed a couple of boxes, checked the computer a lot. I still have to make dinner and probably pack some more. (and the given ~taking care of a two year old and an almost one year old!) 2. Do you have any exciting plans for this spring or summer, since your weight loss? If so, what? We are moving this month with my parents and then moving in June back to the house we own. I am hoping I can work out a way to have the surgery in GA. 3. Do you have any disappointments in your WLS? 4. Are you able to eat anything you want? If not, what? I sure can and do eat anything I want 5. Do you have a prayer request for today that we can all lift up with you to the Lord? I do feel down today. I think everything is starting to get to me. And then my husband calls today and says he is having second thoughts about moving. I just don't know what to do. I do not see a way, financially, that we could keep this business going. I KNOW what I want to do. I want to move back to georgia, with all my heart. And for my husband to start that new job with a company. I just want to know Gods will. And for me to want what He wants. I know His ways are the best. Everything is so unsettled. We still can not get out of this lease until they find new renters, and the house my parents are getting is not 100% approved yet either. There are so many little BIG things that are not set yet. It is a hard place to be. Well sorry for the book, I know I can come to ya'll and beg for prayers and help and you will give it. I really really need the prayers right now! Thank you God bless~ candy

Candy~ I have found that the enemy attacks me the hardest when I am doing something right. And what is the easiest form of attacking...the mind. So keep your mind set on Jesus and rebuke the enemy. Allow God's perfect will for your family to penetrate our head and heart. I know that God is working something great in your life as we speak!! Dawn
