OT: Where ya been; where ya goin'?

I love traveling. (Actually, I HATE the actual traveling part of it, but I love visiting new places). The more obese I became, the less I enjoyed traveling, however, and I can’t wait to get back into globe-trotting. 

Last night, as I was drifting off to sleep, I was thinking about some places that I’m planning to visit this summer; and I started thinking about all the places I’ve been. I’m getting closer to the point where I can say I’ve been to every state in the US (still have a way to go though). Just for fun, here’s my travel log so far: In the US:

I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve never made it to any of the Canadian provinces. I’ve just never had the opportunity to visit my northern neighbors.

So, what about you guys? Where have you been? Who's got my travel log beaten? What’s the most exotic place you’ve been? What places are on your must-visit-before-you-die lists?

 

Oh yeah...I forgot the Bahamas. I've been to the Bahamas as well.

Oh sheesh! I forgot Italy. I've been to the boot as well. But I only stayed in Milan...didn't make it to Venice or Rome. I DID see the Da Vinci's Last Supper in Milan.

I have lived in New York, New Jersey, Colorado and Pennsylvania. I have visited Florida, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Toronto and Niagara Falls, Ontario, Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, California, Michigan, Louisiana, Missouri, Washington DC and Washington State. I also went to the Virgin Islands on our honeymoon (St. Thomas). The best place of all - Colorado, hands down.  I'd like to see more places soon!

Oh yeah, that reminds me...we should have a category for who's LIVED in the most different places. So what places are on your "I-must-visit-before-I-die" list?

Great thread, I love travelling too, her eis my list: New York Florida (loved it so much we moved there) Arizona las vegas los angeles boston chicago Europe: Scotland Ireland Greek islands, corfu, rhodes, crete Balearic islands, majorca,minorca and ibiza Mainland spain (family had a holiday home there when I was a kid) germany switzerland Holland Canary islands, tenerife, gran canaria and Lanzarote Kenya Gambia Goa (Southern India) Antigua Barbados Jamaica and now I'm off to Spain to the great dr B for the greatest adventure!!! OOOOOOH Kenya!  I traveled to Kenya this past summer.  Did you visit the coast?  I absolutely loved it.....My family and I love Mombasa.  The highlands/ rift valley were pretty cool too.  I hope this political turmoil works out soon.  It is such a wonderful place with so much hope to travel the road it's going down currently. -Ann
