What is the size of your stomach?

After your DS.. what is the size of your stomach? Mine is 34 bougie, or approximately 4 ounces. Is this a fairly normal size? Just wondering and wanting to see what others have. Thanks!

It's been almost a year since I spoke to my surgeon about my details.... but mine is either 32 or 38 if I HAD to pick which one he said, I would guess 38... but for some reason, 32 sticks in my head too. either way, it's not THAT big of a difference... from 10.66mm (32fr) to 12.66mm (38fr) how that translates to ounces would depend on length from esophagus to pylorus. I think most will range from 32-40, with a few getting up as large as 50.

A 32 is what the smallest VSG surgeons will go (im a 32) Since most DSers can eat a lot more than me, I would suspect you are a 38.

1.6oz (50cc)

I think its stretched way beyond that though. I ate most of a ribeye steak for dinner last night and really wasn't uncomfortable.

mm, steak. that sounds GOOD. i haven't been adventurous enough yet to try too much meat.. mostly chicken in a VERY moist chicken salad and 1 chicken wing. haha.  i can't wait for some nice steak.. and i have never been a red meat eater. i think my tastes are changing.

Mine is 4 oz. It makes me wonder, though, how I can down a 20 oz. Frappuccino.

that is what got me thinking too.. i am drinking fluids in normal drinks now instead of baby sips. i can easily finish 10-12 ounces of fluid in 30 minutes. i was like.. uhh, this can't be right. solids tho, about 5 bites and i am done. i guess maybe the fluid gets through much much faster than solids.

It took me a good six months before I could drink like a big girl.  LOL  Now I can drink with the best of 'em.  I've seen some be able to drink me under the table waaaay early out.  Made me jealous!

Jodie, I was told that after all swelling is gone from surgery that mine would be about 6 oz...  Saturday night I ate about 8 oz. of prime rib, a bite of baked potatoe and two bites of steamed veggies.   This was a big meal for me.  Somedays it seems like I can eat a lot and other days 4 oz. seems impossible to finish.   Kinda a wierd thing.
