Leave it to me to get "too big" and "too small" for my britches at the same time!!
that bites. i am guilty too. i bought a shirt that looked cute on the hanger this weekend and wore it to work yesterday. walked past the bathroom mirror and thought..."does this shirt make me look pregnant?" i need to stop buying things without trying them on. LOL...
it happens to everyone...regardless of size...some days are just better than others. i wouldn't lose sleep over the woman's comment hon :)

Hey Nic-
First of all, anyone that comments on how much work kids are is a mental midget in my book...I mean what parent doesn't realize this and you'll notice their emphasis is always on the negative aspects of a large family....not what a wonderful family you have....blah blah blah. And spare us her pregnancy related comments, you don't look pregnant!!!
As my italian grandpop would say, "Ah, what a stunod!!!" LOL
I had several of these encounters at a few months after my DS (feeling on top of the world after losing 70lbs and then being called a fat ***** in a busy mall parking lot at Christmas time for some imagined traffic offense ) and just a few months ago at a support group meeting where a new person hesitated not certain if I was pre-op vs post-op (she must have seen my eyes rolling and quickly commented Oh ofcourse you are post-op...blah blah blah grrrrrr). These encounters were especially tricky because as a SMO woman I felt I had spent so much of my energy convincing myself that I did not give a rat's ass what people thought about my appearance. It felt odd how much these encounters stung after and being left pondering why do I suddenly care what these strangers say? The lesson for me is that I'm the only opinion that matters when it comes to my body and appearance (and yes, it's ok for me to spend my time and energy caring for my appearance ....way hard one!!!!) and I try to be as kind to me as I can because well the others......they just can' t be trusted with my self worth
Love,
G

I have to chime in, as I was talking with a group of friends last night, and one topic was how unflattering those tops are. They really are designed like a maternity top, and don't look good on ANYONE.
I also have to mention your weight weight loss is PHENOMINAL! I would be jealous, but you seem so nice I can only be happy for you!

My suggestion for wearing those style shirts is this... BOOBS. The bigger, more cleavage and pronunced they are, the less the top looks like a maternity top. ROFL!
Sorry you had to go thru that. You did tell them that you're not expecting right? I love the look of "oh crap" on their face when they are told about their faux paus.
