I'm 5'3". Around what size will I be at 180 pounds?
It depends also on your body type. :)
I'm 5'2" and right now at 171, I'm still a damned 14. I'd guess I was a 16 at 180. My problem is my butt and hips are too big - the waist of a 14 is too big and gaping, but to get the pants around my biggest part, I have to go up a size.
Now, you're also an inch taller than me, and haven't had kids, so its possible you'll be a 14 or even a 12. :)
Oh, and I was a 22/24 at 220 lbs, so you're 10 pounds lighter by size, if that makes sense.
Fantasize away!
Aimee :)
I am 5'5 and at 210 I was a much smaller size than you (22/24). At 267, I was an 18/20. A size 14/16, and a straight 14 seemed to stick with me for 50lbs. Since I've been 170, I wear I size 8, at 162 the 8's are getting big.
You can never tell what size you will be. It depends on your shape. I am well proportioned. Some people are big on top, small on the bottom vice-versa.
You will look fantastic on your wedding day no matter your weight or size.
congrats!!!

Thanks for your input, Leila!
I've got this dream about being in a "normal" size by my wedding day that I can't seem to shake, but you're right, I will be happy at whatever size I happen to be by that day. :D
But GO**** seems like I've been wearing a 24 for AGES. I like imagining myself buying some smaller clothes sometimes!

Georgina, the sizes seem to drop faster the smaller you get - like once you get to a 12, it will maybe take 10lbs to get in a 9/10, then another 10lbs to get in a 7/8 and so forth. Of course this isn't true math but it seemed that way to me.
Like I said it seemed like I was in the 14 to 16 range for about 50lbs then suddenly, I was in "normal" sizes . And then, I swore size 12 was my size, that I wouldn't get smaller. I made a stupid clothing investment - 8 good business suits . Now I will have to pay dearly to alter them.
Buy mostly cheap and second hand until you lose all of your excess weight. It is so expensive to keep buying new sizes. The exception is - Bras, panties, girdles, and lots of Spanx like underwear. It is just worth spending the money on the good stuff to look nice while you are downsizing. We have to keep you body parts in place ya know
Those 24's will be dropping off you before you know it. Can your dress be more of a last minute item to purchase?
Good luck.

I'm definitely buying my dress just a week or two before the wedding. I know it's silly to anticipate what size I'll be; I was really just asking to satisfy my curiosity. I'm in the "IMAGINE EVERYTHING" stage of wedding planning and got a little carried away. Lol.
You're right though, I definitely will be buying second-hand for a while and investing in good underthings as necessary! I think I might need to buy some Spanx to keep everything from jiggling too much. Hahaha!
Thank you! :D

Careful - even if you're a "normal" size in normal clothes doesn't mean you'll fit into the same size in a formal gown. Most people need a dress (wedding gown or even bridesmaid dress) 1-2 sizes larger than they normally wear.
So, don't let the number on the tag get to you. Be happy that you're much smaller than you were before!
