what carb is tormenting you?
I love cake! I watch a lot of the wedding shows on tv and cannot stop salivating when they are showing the wedding cake. Yesterday I picked out a small cake at the bakery counter and went through the whole store with it and then felt guilty and brought it back. Thank God I didn't get one out of the case as I would have had to explain that.
I bought fruit instead. For me it's not a weight gain issue it's not the healthiest choice.
I guess I won that battle.
Lots of carb demons here.....I can pass up chocolate - most candy is too sweet for me, but I cannot pass up Jelly Belly's.
Here's my list:
REALLY good bread - like a wonderful French baquette. The cheap sliced grocery store stuff? It grows hard on my shelf from lack of eating, but good chewy, artisan bread will rob me of my sensibilities.
REALLY good kettle potato chips. I can pass on the cheap stuff.
Homemade cookies, pies, etc. Again, I can pass on the store-bought stuff, but dang, you've got to be insane to pass up a homemade frosted sugar cookie or homemade cheesecake.
REALLY good fried rice - again (boy I'm sounding more and more like a food snob every minute) I can turn my nose up on the Chinese buffet crap, but excellent fried rice makes me weak with desire.
REALLY good donuts....you know - like the kind you get at the cider mill fresh off the grease and rolled in cinnamon. We have a chain of gas station/convenience stores up here that makes their own apple fritters. They will call out to me even though I know I'm going to be a f****ed up mess from eating them.
Crackers - my familiy knows I consider them to be on the same level as crack.
I have good days and bad days. My birthday celebration extended an extra day into yesterday and I'm feeling bloated and miserable from all the carbs. Trying like hell to detox today.

From my very very lowest awful sickly looking weight that lasted only one week? Ten pounds, IF I keep an eye out a bit on the carbs. If I go hog-wild on carbs or certain times of the month? 15 pounds. I average out at 125. My lowest was 116.

I'm with you Julie, Jelly beans and gummy candy are my weakness and fom time to time potato chips can get a hold. I just have to not buy candy like jelly beans as I know I cannot just stop at a handful!!
I want to get back down to 139lbs and that will not happen by eating Jelly beans!lol
