To the lab gurus: My pre-op labs from 3 weeks ago.
Finally got my pre-op labs. My PCP didn't want to run the whole kit a kaboodle because I really didn't have a diagnosis to support getting some of these drawn as a pre-op for insurance to cover. But he agreed that we would run them all at my 3 month and future appts. I was/am a very hard stick, so these were drawn over 3 times. Finally on the last draw we found a great vein that has previously gone unknown, so I should have better luck in the future. I list my value then the norms the lab says after in parenthesis
Vit D2: 20.0 (3 - 9999)
My CMP (comp Metabolic panel) was all in the normal range, some that I think are relavent are listed below)
Total Serum Protein: 7.2 (5.5 - 8.0)
Glucose: 83 ( 70 - 100) * I was on all my diabetic meds at this time
Calcium: 9.6 (8.4 - 10.5)
CBC - I'll list things that are out of norm, or ones I think that are relavent
RBC: 4.07 (4.2 - 5.4)
Hgb: 10.9 (12 - 16) This is high/normal for me, I've never really been much more than 11
HCT: 33.7 (37 - 47) see above note
RDW: 16.3 (11 - 14)
Ok, that's what was drawn. I know I'm missing somethings, but as I said, they will be drawn at my 3 mos and further out.
I know there are things I am starting out low: Vit D, Iron, Hgb, HCT, Magnesium, RBC.
I am 3 weeks out, and I started Vitalady's recommended vites on Monday (or tried, I've gotten down the full first two doses on Mon and Tues, yesturday I got all but the bedtime).
I am wondering if there are things I need to really be watching at my 3 month other than what I noted.
Thanks ahead for any help!
Lisa

You might want them to check your D3, A, E and K at 3 months. Have them run calcium, PTH as well. Add ferritin to the iron, HCT and HGB next time. B12 and B1 (thiamine). How was your potassium?

Thanks Gina....
Some of my labs dropped off the OP.
Here are the others:
Vit D3: 31 ng/mL (25 - 80)
Vit A: 0.75 mg/L (0.30 - 1.2)
Vit B6: 65.00 nmol/L (20 - 125)
Vit B1: 17 nmol/L (8-30)
Vit K: 0.41 ng/mL (0.10 - 2.2)
Zinc: 0.87 mcg/mL (0.66 - 1.1)
Feritin: 34.3 (6.2 - 137)
Calcium: 9.6 (8.4 - 10.5)
Potassium: 4.4 (3.6 - 5)
Don't know where they went in the last post...these were mixed in with all the others, not just the beginning or end.

Ok, I'm glad they got to these. If you're on Vitalady's plan, things are probably getting better and should show on your next set of labs. If that potassium goes down on the next labs, you might want to speak to your doc about either supplementing or getting a script for it. Time is on your side now.
