I've thought that myself several times. Like I said, the site in the middle of the 5 lymph nodes (literally spread to 2 nodes above & below) is also the biggest mass, so it's almost certainly where it originated, which is right behind the small intestines. I also started getting advances symptoms last Oct, which you only get when it's already in an advanced stage, meaning it's metastized. This suggests that when I had the appendicitis/bowel obstruction surgery on 8/21, I probably did already have it started, but it may have been pretty small at that point or just starting. Even if it was there though (messenteric node), the lymph node is outside of my abdominal cavity "sac" or peritoneum. It's literally behind all of my organs & b/w the lymph node & my actual small intestine, there is a wall of cells that hold in my abdominal organs, so even if it was there, that's probably why he couldn't see it.

I have thought, though, how ******g ironic to actually have had surgery literally right next to the cancer, yet it still wasn't found, just b/c it couldn't be seen. He couldn't have come any closer to it & still not see it. I actually have pictures of that surgery & have since looked at them, can't see anything but the dead (black) appendix & the small bowel.

I am so damn sorry you are having to through this...it is so unfair, dammit!

I know that you're gonna fight with everything you've got in you - no matter what. And that WILL be enough and you will be a survivor...I just wish like ******g hell that you didn't have to go through this.

Wish I could do more than send you positive vibes, swing critters, pray and CURSE for you! Please let me know if there is anything at all I can do - even if it's just to lend an ear or shoulder!

Thank you, Renee!! I'm leaving for my f/u appt with the hematologist (who is an oncologist) & I'm hoping that he has received the biopsy results. I *hate* the not knowing part. I want to know all the facts so that I can move forward, it'll make me feel better - you know, starting to kill those evil little mutant *******s :)
