I just had my second one today. Do not put this off. This is as important as your labs!! Get that simple 15 minute scan done SOON!!!

All DSers should get one pre-op as a baseline and then at least every year to two years after that. This is not about age but about bone loss potential due to your malabosorption.

I had one last year when I was in Kuwait. My grandmother has osteoporosis and now I know I'm on the verge of it. It gives me a jumping off point to try and starve it off as long as possible.

I have one every year in Nov ! It's on the calendar, just have to wait for the day so insurance will pay up ! I hope mine is improved as I am approachng two years on Forteo, the daily injection for osteo.

First year I had 25% INCREASED BONE mass from it. Will see what year 2 brings.

Had my first 2 years ago--getting my next on Nov 1!

I'm gonna start going yearly. I wish I had one pre-op to compare though :(
