i believe the key is to know what and how the particular med u take works. a high gulcosse level is negative in a long term effect. but a low blood sugar is a medical emergency, so if u are not taking insulin or a insulin pushing drug such as starlix you will not be at risk for sudden hypoglyclymia or insulin shock ,sudden unconciousness or the like, your emt/ems at service, but talkto your doctor for further details. glucaphage (metaphormine) works by :This drug reduces the amount of glucose produced by the liver and absorbed by the intestines, and enhances insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization avadia, too, starlix can get us into trouble. fast. starlix :Nateglinide lowers blood glucose levels by stimulating the release of insulin from functioning beta cells of the pancreas. Insulin release is glucose dependent and diminishes at low glucose concentrations.

I believe you onto the root of the problem, recently, it was posted that obesity is gaining on the "prosperity" table. The censuses were illustrating that as the poor were predominicaly more obese than the economically advantaged. As the income levels went up the obesity levels went down. Of late, it is proposed that more people are crossing over to higher economic status and bringing their food traits (obesity) with them. The article did not make a racial statement. But was similar intonation with regard to economics.

I am going to a cardiologist as part of my pre opt, doctor didn't ask for it, but with diabetes neuropathy, the sensation of pain from a heart problem can be hidden during a attack, so as a part time school bus driver, being (a cheapy that I am, I got paid to take my kids on school field trips,) I had to take physical exams which told me I had diabetes, and also required a stress test. To drive the bus. So I had an angiogram too. Problems are very secretive, and testing is very important. I am going to ask for a 3d MRI of the heart. It's more effective than an angiogram except if its shows something than you would have to go for the angiogram to have a sent or bypass. according to ada, 56% of diabetics have and dont know that they have some form of neurpathy, which is the main killer of the desease, it damages the nerves of sesation to the heart, digestive system, skin, feet, eyes, and with out the sense of discomfort we neglect and allow simple ailment to worsen to infections.gangrene, runaway ulcers, stomach ailments. and worst of all undetected.treated heart attacks, sorry to lecture, but this screening may have saved your life. best of luck, and may the waters be calm.

This illustrates that African Americans recieve substandard health care in America! I believe it is the duty of every African American who has been denied this surgery should bring this study to the forfront of their insurers or employers who specifically exclude the ds. when the insureres reliaze that this discrimination must stop it will benefit all of us. I have not yet posted a picture so i will state for the record that i am not a African American, and there is no predudice in this proposed stratigy. ,

hi, diana called me today too, i'm tenatively set for july 24. going and comming, i would check out amtrak, get bussiness class tickets, the ride will be nice, smooth, the bath rooms clean, you can bring a cooler. and business or first class has free snack service and researve seats. take a cabe to and from penn station 34 st to 70th st, is about 4 miles, amtrak can make special accomodations for your trip, just like the airlines , wheel chair if needed, porter, what ever. some trains have sleeper/ cabins, nice, you don't say where, but 7 hours sounds like saracuse, or bingham, buffalo, the chicago train might go your way and they have sleepers. that would be my choice. best of luck,

any hospital, or doctor who takes federal dollars, or medicare insurance will also take tricare, and is also in the tricare network, that is one of the rules of medicare/tricare system, they are linked, when you look for a provider you will find that stipulation in the small print in the tricare web site. isnt it nice when the rule maker has the authority of LAW?

TRICARE RUMOR NOT SUBSTANTIATED BY 1-877 TRICARE(874-2273) Original Post by Walter Albert at 1:08 PM PST on 05/06/2005 Lafayette, NJ I called tricare benefit / authorization line for the northeast and specifically requested they verify they were reviewing the most updated cpb, and the ds is still covered and there is not change indicated to be implemented or being considered. I had a new representive and a trainer /supervisor on line to confirm the benefit level. All should call and confirm themselves. As they do take the ss# of the caller so i cannot politely call again as to challange a differ representative.

i feel like i just had a GOLDEN SHOWER! ALL OVER MY PERADE. well the navy gave me this disability 37 years ago. and in spite of thier predictions i'm still kickin, and now i want tri care to finally ante up a claim because aetna (who has been footing the bills all these years) is so anti ds, they back down, and i cannot have a rny, or banding. DID U VOTE FOR BUSH, HE IS CUTTING VETERANS BENEFIT DEEPLY, HE HAS CUT THE FEDERAL MONIES TO THE STATE FOR VETERANS (NURSEING) HOMES, AFTER SEEING MY DOCTOR EVERY 3 MONTHS FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS, NOW IT OK TO SEE HIM EVERY 6, BECAUSE OF CUTBACKS, MAKES ONE THINK TWICE ABOUT TELLING ONE OFFSPRING ABOUT THE HONOR AND REWARDS OF THE MILITARY,

Topic: RE: EXPOSE THE INSURANCE COMPANIES
THE INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE SOLICITING THE SENIORS TO GO TO TOWN MEETING TO ENROLL FOR MEDICARE COVERAGE WITH THEM. I suggest that we all go or get a more senior family member or friend to go to these enrollment seminar meetings they sponsor and ask about W L S and D S in particular of the sale representatives that are there. Be specific, you will probably be put off as they expect to answer more geriatric questions, but as a senior of 55 I 'm concerned about what they have to offer on W L S. AETNA has a full page ad in the state wide daily in N J listing 10 locations for these meetings today. If one query is raised at each meeting and each salesman goes back and reports his response or lack of knowledge, the voice will be heard. Think if this spreads across the country to all of Aetna and the industry.

good morning diana, the newest one, the the butter toffee cream, which is low cal,low lactase, low carb, and 23 g protein, 5lbs for 29 bucks after shipping, is delicious, when mixed in cold soy milk, had it for breakfast instead of my usual pork roll (taylor ham) for u east coast folks) sandwich, and im do in good 6 hrs latter. I suppose when i'm a month out and i've had 60 of those and the bagleltte is a fond memory not to visited any time soon my apraisal of protien shakes may have a different four letter description besides GREAT(THATS 5) OOPS, my wife thinks i'm obsessed with this surgery, and spending too much time reading about it. have a great day, time for lunch

I think i got carried away a little and bought too much too experiment with, havent even applied yet for the surgery, still inprogress linning up the prereps for the applications. but i bought some protien to experiment with 2lbs vanilla,2lbs choc at walmart, taste good, and 2 lbs uu, sample was nice in oj,expensive but nice, and 5lbs of butter toffee dmtyse, very nice, low calorie, nice mix ,with soy = 30 g protien, very cheap. but this totals out to about 150 4 oz servings, will it keep that long, will i want to consume it that much or did i over do it, i wont be in demand for it until july the earliest. walter
