Insurance coverage for revisions - fight for approval!

I had an open RNY i***** (yep - I'm an old-timer!) and had a revision (gastric band "over" my bypass) in 2003.  I know what it feels like to worry about re-gain, feeling like I screwed up the last best chance I had to get healthy, etc. On top of that there are challenges getting insurance coverage for a revision (or conversion) to another surgery.

I just posted a blog entry describing a recent win we had which I hope empowers anyone having doubts or challenges about their ability to get insurance to pay for another surgery, if you need it . . .these are fights which can be WON!   wlsappeals.com/revision-approved/

Thanks for the positive post!

I am fighting for a conversion right now.  Yes, I know the difference but everyone here says revison for a conversion.
My insurance co started a once in a lifetime WLS policy while I was trying for approval.

I'm going off to read the blog!

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
