Hello there!!
I am pre-op hoping to have surgery early Summer! I am a mom with three kidos, I am an EMT, and have a goal of losing about 125 lbs. I like a million things and like to meet new people.
I'd like to find a pen~pal to write emails to as well as snail mail to send encouragement and letters etc through the mail.
I live in NC, but I have lived all over the country. It doesn't matter to me where my pen~pal lives/ male or female

I know exactly how you feel. I had Roux-en-Y done in March 2009. I done really well until I relocated with my job in Jan 2010 and had various problems all round.
I started grazing and falling back into some really bad habits causing me to gain 28lbs.
I have now taken a long hard look at myself and am determined to get back on track. I started the 5-day pouch test on Monday and am really surprised at how well I'm sticking to it. (we'll see how good it's really going when i weigh myself on Saturday
)
It would be great to have some support from somebody who can honestly say, 'I know what you're going through' and also to support you as I too am determined not to fail. Especially whilst the weather is sooooo cold, and I constantly think of comfort things whi*****ludes stuffing my face or indulging in some wine
.

I will be a revision from lap band to VSG if insurance approves. I have one more nutrion consult and a psych visit and then it will be time to send in paperwork and cross fingers. I am an over 50 women who also has crohn's . I had my sleeve surgery in Oct 2011 in mexico . I am a canadian who lives in Nova Scotia and would love to talk with someone who also has had sleeve surgery . I have lost 50 lbs to date but things are slowing down . I am hungry!! Alot. I wonder if it is cravings or that i have never really let myself be normally hungry before. I crave sugar and chocolate for sure. Have you experienced more hunger as time went on after your surgery? I feel I am sabotaging my weight loss and certainly want to lose more weight, about 50 more lbs.
What's been your experience and how do you handle you food choices?

I'm currently on the downhill slide toward getting my surgery date and I'm really in need of some support. I've got a lot of things going through my head (including whether I should have the surgery or not) and someone to talk to who is going through this I think would help. I do have a support system, don't get me wrong, but none of them are overweight. They just love me and want what's best for me health wise.

Dr, took fluid out 4 months ago as i was having trouble [band was to tight ]
just seems like thats all its been .. but it in take it out ... gee
i've gained weight now and really want to get back on track but its getting
really disapointing to get fills .. so i know how u feel ....
5 day pouch started today ... appt. with Dr. next week .....
