I'm bored and house-bound tonight... Do you have a high pain tolerance, no tolerance, or somewhere in the middle? My surgeon told me that I am made of steel the other day and is quite surprised that I didn't take pain meds after my surgery on Tuesday.  Boy that lap. gas hurts, but it's not the worst pain I've had in my life! Just curious how many others tolerate pain well!   (they say women tolerate pain better than men)  Sorry guys!

I'm the same way. My surgeon gave me 30 percocet tabs post-op from my band removal and I used exactly 1 my first night post-op and only because I wanted to sleep!

i used to have an insanely high pain tolerance...i worked in a body piercing studio and often volunteered as a guinea pig for new procedures.  i've also sat for hours of tattooing without much reaction.  but over the last year or so my tolerance has gone down...so i guess i'm at a medium.  :)

LOL!  Maybe you just need to sit down for a sleeve or something to build up your tolerance again!

I have a high tolerance on really big things, like knee surgeries, c-section, etc...  And really low on sissy things like cuts etc.. So I probably average out to a medium. Chrissy

LOL!  I heard that chronic pain is better tolerated by women while sharp or stinging pain is better tolerated by men.  I can't think of the last time I cut myself (and I never had a tattoo or piercing since I was in 4th grade).  I handle the big pain better too, but can't really say anything about the little pain.  I don't even notice whenI get bruises or cuts most of the time!
