LOL! Sleeping through recovery is good!
My surgeon underestimated how bad my gallbladder was bothering me those 3 months. One day when I was shadowing him, we went to recovery to write post-op notes and he looked at me and asked if I was hurting. I guess at that time, it showed on my face. I was hurting (an 8 out 10), but it doesn't destroy me or show physically. I think that was the day he realized just what I had been living with. It was tiring to hurt, but it wasn't crippling or anything. It was just this pain I blocked out the best I could. Now... if I could block the bladder sensation, I'd be set! LOL!

Meet my pouch... The Gremlin:

I thought I had a high pain tolerance but after having lap band I was in a TON of pain. So maybe I'm in the middle. I believe women tolerate more than men....I work in the hospital and it always seems like men complain WAY more about pain than women, epecially with huge surgeries like heart surgery or lung surgeries.
Glad your surgery went well by the way! Hopefully it takes care of all your problems.
