wonderful feeling...newbie advice (my 2 cents)

I used to run 5ks about 8 years ago and before packing on a ton of weight (I've been every size under the sun). Now that I am healthy, I started running again. Wow! I have forgotten how wonderful it feels to run. I feel like a well oiled machine after wards. I leave the gym....feeling like I can do anything!

My 2 cents- I'm a "recovering weight obsessed" person. Having a different goal to reach has been so healthy for me. If I could give any advice, I would  say...turn your focus to healthy goals other than weight or clothing size goals. Don't beat yourself up trying to reach a number or a date on the calender. Keep a lifetime of healthy habits as your goal and focus. It has truly been the key to my recovery and of course...I'm still a work in progress. Best wishes to everyone!

Yours is a wonderful example for newbies and vets alike!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Thanks for the great advice!

5-6 days of exercise is the current goal that I am achieving pretty much.  What a change for me and it makes me feel so much better!
