When a juiced up muscle head shoots his wad doing his reps and leaves 600# on weight on the machine....
You be right about that, Russ. Ironically, I had a "discussion" last night with a guy who always tears down the universal weight machine to fit it with his custom contraptions and leaves it bizzaro after he's done. Takes a couple of minutes minimum to get it back to stock condition. I also dislike it when people leave all the frickin' free weights on the floor for others to trip on.
Speakin' of which, I be off to the gym.

The little ***** did it again tonight so guess my talkin' to last night didn't do any good and he was gone before I got there. Bama, you ran a gym so tell me if I'm off base here.
This is a small gym which is in our neighborhood clubhouse. The universal machine has a standard config with a pull down bar, pull bars, bicep curl rest, etc. This is how the majority of users workout on the machine except for him. He takes off all the stuff and puts on ropes and other weird crap and removes the curl rest then leaves it that way when he's done. Should he put it back the way he found it if the weird crap is used only by him?

That would be the courteous thing to do Terry. But again, seems like courtesy and manners are not a priority now-a-days. One of the rules at my gym was to put all weight plates, dumbbells, barbells, and hardware back on the racks where they belonged after use. Most people observed the rule, however, I did have a few I had to constantly remind.
I'm with ya on this Russ.
Some people have no consideration for others whatsoever. Several times this 55 year old fart has told some pumped up kid or mucsle head to put the weights back where they belong. Some don't like it, but I don't give a sh*t. It's just good manners and common courtesy in my book!

Yeah we unloaded some guys weight today. He had the machine all set up with a ton of weights, then wandered off to do something else. One of the ladies in the gym asked for some help, she wanted to do some pull ups on the machine, but couldn't move the bar because he had it loaded down with weights. He wasn't too happy to come back and find his stuff disassembled and someone else using the machine. Too bad.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
Hmmmm .. you mean it's not like in those Bowflex commercials on T.V., where everyone is standing around to help out by moving the weight adjustments around on your machine like you need them while you work out?

Boy am I in for a rude awakening!
