WARNING: Poop Chronicles!

I'd say generally we get less oil slicks (noticeable) the further out we get, as we begin eating more and more of a variety of foods and larger amounts ..   However, if you do eat a very high fat/low non-fat meal (esp. something with a lot of cooking oil in it)  you should still experience them to some degree (although they may not be that bright orange color they initially were right after your surgery).  I made potatoes and eggs the other day for breakfast, and used those prepackaged shredded hashbrowns (Ore-Ida) fried in a lot of corn oil to make them go down better.

Ut oh ..   Within an hour things were moving along almost TOO quickly ..

That's good, though, b/c that lets us know that our DS is still "working" and a good deal of fat malabsorption is still taking place ..

btw, by "fluffies", I assume you mean what we sometimes refer to on here as "Medusas" - they are long, sausage stringy-like stools (think short snakes) like the hair of the Medusa in those ancient drawings ..

I knew you couldn't stay away from a good poop post!

But yes, it is very dense though. They look huge, but they are just really airy. Ok, I am getting grossed out. Sorry!

Not sure what you mean by "airy" ..  Do you mean b/c they float?       I don't think I've had a "sinker" since my surgery ..  It's the (unabsorbed) fat in the stools that makes them float ..

Your poop sounds perfectly normal.  Fluffy or pudding like, and much volume is usually my regime every morning.

I LOVE IT!!!!!! I wish I could get my husband to look. Sometimes I just want him to see the AMOUNT that comes out of me..

I get alot of pudding poops. But then I just little fluffy ones. I still get the orange slicks.. If I go away from the "natural" fat. Like meat fat.. More like olive oils and veggie oils.

I admit.. I love to poop. (post DS)

Brandy, OMG!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to poop. And truthfully, as gross as it is, I always have. It is so relieving! I don't know... but for a while there right after surgery, I hated it! My butt hurt!

Then came the bulk fiber and I was back in love again! LOL

Little known fact: I can't poop with my shoes on!

OMG... You can't poop with your shoes on??? LOL LOL I seriously started laughing loud. What happens when you are out and about and the poop urge hits??? I don't have it very often.. But I occasionally. Do you take your shoes off. I swear to goodness, if I am in Target and a chick does not have her shoes on and it stanks I will knock and ask if it is you!!!

Pre DS I didn't poop all that much. So now that I have those cleaning poos.. I love it. I even had a time post DS where i didn't go that much and I wanted to go more. I found a god awful amount of fat and coffee does the trick. :) So a pack of bacon every morning and several cups of coffee.
