201: This Week 9/15/13 -->0  lb loss BMI=30

140:Total Weight Loss

No movement on the scale this week. However, in the fact that I had been trending up over last several weeks resulting in aa high of 206, happy to be at 201. Next week hope I can move back to Onederland, which is where I have my goal to be at. This past week I did pretty good in terms of eating mindfully, drinking more water, and exercising.  Ultimately, want to get back down to 196 which is significant as it marks my 150 pound loss.

One side not about exercise. I have been exercising for most of my post op journey. Over the last few weeks I have been joined at the gym by a new workout partner, my 13 year old son Evan. What a gift to be able to pass on a healthy lifestyle to not only him but all of my kids!

Have a good week!

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac

Down another 3 this wee****ep pushing my body to walk further. I really want to start jogging, but progress has been  slow on that. i haven't done any weight training which is part of the problem I think. It's been a very long time since I've moved and bent so much and 3 months ago I could barely walk around the block. Enjoy the NFL today.

@Bill Mac, thanks for kicking it off this week in Don’s absence.  Awesome that your son as joined as your workout partner!

@Shane, excellent progress!  Don’t get discouraged about your perceived slow progress in the exercise department.  Slow and steady progress is the right way to go.  Add time, distance, and resistance slowly over time will build up your stamina and muscle mass – true for both cardio and strength training.

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
Last week:  217.2 lbs / 19.9% body fat / 165.6 lbs muscle mass
This week:  218.6 lbs / 19.3% body fat / 167.8 lbs muscle mass

I’m back up 1.4 lbs overall this week but also up 2.2 lbs muscle mass.  I made it to the gym on 5 days (3 days cardio & 2 days Physioslow strength) and did pretty well mindfully eating during the week.

Well the Ducks took my Vols to the cleaners but at least they didn’t get skunked by the no. 2 team.  The Dirty Birds play the Rams this afternoon, hopefully with a better outcome.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

Shane & Don sounds like you guys had an awesome week!

440.0: All time high 5/1/10
386.0: Surgery day 9/21/10
257.0: 1 yr Surgiversary 9/21/11
295.0: 4/1/13
241.0: Last week
240.4: This week

Not much movement on the scale this week, but not unexpected. I ended up on a work trip and it was extended. No exercise for 4 days, more than a bit of alcohol and a rich diet. I have continued with cross training by riding my bike and kayaking. Wondering what I will do once it is cold out.

Good luck everyone and have a good week!
