Not near enough water last week. I realized today that I'm wayyyy behind in water. Gotta change that.

I'm slowly getting back into traveling mode with a quick trip last week. Nothing this week, but then I'll start being gone more frequently again.

My achilles is healing finally, so I'm back on the bike. I'm behind in conditioning though. Another thing to do this week and beyond.

Last week was 258 1/4.

this week I was 257 even.

Maybe it was the stone.

Probably not, but it felt that way. I keep thinking I don't have any much more to lose. I sort of think it is muscle mass at this point, so I am trying to up my protein and exercise to combat that. It is hard right now. This stone thing has kept me down for a month now. I had a few "post stone" complications, but things are improving.

At the end of this week I have a pre-op appointment for loose skin removal surgery. I am going to have my Dunlap's Disease rectified. You know. Mah belly done lapped over mah belt. That'll be good for another 10 pounds, right? We'll see.

Last week: 186.4

This week: 185.0

I'll take it! Due to some unintentional overtime at work walking was thrown out of whack this past week. With GF starting her new job Wednesday it will free up a couple of hours for me in the afternoon where I have the house to myself and can make all the noise I want and won't bother her. Can tell you she was not bothered by noise of the slot machine she hit the jackpot on last night! She won enough to get her a W-2G for all the fun she was having.

Congrats to Little Bill on getting the stone from his bone!

Still hot here. Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! Prognostication is for some lower temps and maybe even.....rain! Only having to mow what I water so makes that part of my life better.

Go do your thing and have a great week!!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

This is a marathon, not a sprint. You gained a few, but just go back to your meal plan and they will come off again. Take the long view. If you go dY by day, it will mess with your head.

i finally passed my kidney stone. It had been lying there dormant for at least five years, which is when it was discovered. It has been on and off excruciating for the past three weeks. It passed this afternoon. It seriously messed with my eating pattern. It is hard to eat when you dick hurts. Anyway... I am happy. Very happy. It is out, there are no others, and Lord willing, there won't ever be others again. We now return you to your regular weight loss/maintenance program.

Don't kick yourself too hard. The WLS experience is a journey - not a destination. Translation: You gonna eff-it up on occasion! Recognize the error of your ways and get back on track.

Hi guys...Sorry I haven't been around much. When I'm not in a good mood I don't post much. Been busy...Granddaughter, melanoma (they got it all), work, physical therapy (back), sleep.

I got on the scale today...200.5 I feel good about that. I've been between 207 and 199.5 over the last 3 months. Really want to be below 200...At about 195 because of my heart. There are fires here in California now (fire season), so the smog is bad. I need to join a gym for a few months till we get the rains in October (to clean out the air). Later, you are not forgotten, Brian (Cabin111)

I am going to post something on the RNY board as well, but I got my insurance approval and scheduled my surgery this week. My surgery date is August 29th, which is the Wednesday before Labor day weekend. There should be plenty of college football to watch over that weekend.

Last Week 302.8

This week 303.8

I also finished painting/treating my garage floor. The hardest part was coordinating moving the garage contents in and out every day in this rainy weather. My two sons were able to help out with that so it went faster. I will post a picture next week.

Start of 6 month pre-op diet (2/14): 320 lbs.

7/9: 284.6 lbs.

7/23: 287.4 lbs.

Okay guys....I need some major encouragement now....

I missed a weigh-in because I was on vacation. Unfortunately you can see I didn't do great on vacation. This is the most weight (4 lbs.) I've gained since I started my 6 month pre-WLS program. I'm sure my weight management doctor is going to let me have it today when I see him. I tried to make good decisions on the foods I ate during my meals (high protein, low carbs), but it was the consistent exposure to snack foods in the beach house that was my problem. I just kept grazing here and there, taking little bites of foods and cheating a lot. I thought it would stop when I got back home on Friday, but I found myself doing the same at home over the weekend, although much less and healthier choices. Another issue was that I wasn't active on vacation. Lots of sleeping and sitting on the beach. I did hit my step goals a few days, but I wasn't doing the same amount of exercise that I would normally do in a week. Today I am determined to get back on track with my calorie counting and exercise routines. I really need to focus this week and hopefully get back on track. I have another vacation next week, but I'm more optimistic because several of the people I am going with are on similar diets and I tend to be much more active on this trip (lots of hiking, biking, and physical outdoor activities).
