There isn't always, but it often arrives in liquid form disguised as a fart. Welcome to the group,

That kind of surprises me, I wouldn't think there would be that much to poop out. Thank you!

Some days there is diarrhea and but what I was referring to was the "output" of BM's in general.

Thank you! I'm guessing you have lots of diarrhea?

1. Welcome and good luck on your journey! No two journeys are the same. Apples and Oranges.

2. Best advice is in siggy line.

3. Worst part about after surgery? Learning the new "normal" as far as eating, meal size, keeping up with your labs, getting in all your vitamins etc. Follow Doc's plan to a "T" at first then if something is not working or somebody else has a suggestion try and see what happens.

4. Water, or any liquid, will force your food out of your pouch before digestion can begin.

5. Make sure you have a really good plunger by every commode in your home. Low flow toilets will not be your friend!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Well, at least my sciatica is doing better :-)

Too much salty food last night. Popcorn is my downfall for salt and mindless eating. Moving my parents to assisted living this week. Sad for the family but best for mom who has dementia (88) and dad who is in constant pain and mostly chair bound (92). Now they will be 45 minutes away instead of 25.

Joined a fitness program with the wife, so maybe eventually a passing grade in the exercise department next week.

Good week to all.

Exercise helps. I?ve been loafing throughout the winter months, but am looking forward to getting back on my bike and walking the dog for long walks. It seems like many of us are at an age where our parents are failing. We have to take up the torch and continue on.

John, I really feel for you. I am there right now with my Dad. I lost a bunch of weight from not eating right. Maybe that's not the norm, but it is my experience. I hope things go well for you. I am still trying to make sense of Dad's estate. He was not organized.
