I've lost my safe haven, so goodbye!

 As anyone can see from my username, I am heavily into politics. With that said, even *I* need a break every now and again. I came on here tonight to see if I could find some new snack/meal ideas cause I'm in a rut, but what do I see? More flippin' bickering about the damn health care bill! I'm maxed out on the drama and fearmongering, and this is one place that I thought would be protected from it because people are usually good about taking such debates over to the R&R board. This site has been great over the last couple years, and I got lots of help when I needed it, but I mostly come here now to snatch recipes and socialize. I can do that on facebook. So yeah, it's been great knowing all of you, but I don't need to see anymore hate being spread around along with this nonsensical "the sky is falling" mentality. Our government has done many things in the past that I abhorred, but I never stooped so low as to try and SCARE people into seeing things the way I see them. I fight enough morons like that on a day to day basis in my field, so I sure as hell don't need it here. Congratulations, you drove out another long-termer. 

To my close friends on here: if you want to stay in contact, PM me. I'll be taking this profile down tomorrow or wednesday...whenever I get some more free time.

 My tolerance is absolutely zero, or I would just take a break. I was already told once today that I don't deserve to be an American. People are taking it way too far. I don't think it's too much to ask for people to be civil. However, when people rile me up, they'll see just how UNCIVIL I can be. Sorry. Still pissed.

I am sorry you feel that way. Although, I think you are being a bit hasty. I believe this should be a safe place and the politics need to stay out of weight loss. The ONLY reason I am posting anything is because I had to dig and dig to find what it is you were talking about. I found 2 threads related to what is taking place outside of weight loss in our country. These were burried among many positive supportive threads and that is why I am still here. I think that everyone has something to offer and needs to be there for their fellow man/woman... we are all going through something very similar here. However, if you are going to run and stick your head in the sand when something that doesn't belong enters, that is up to you. I wish you the best of luck on your continued success and if you need us in the future... there will be someone here to lean a helping hand!

If you don't want to get involved in those discussions, its simple, don't respond to them.

 I didn't respond to them, and if you actually understood what I posted, you would see that I'm ticked off that those discussions ever started here in the first place. If you wanna be nasty, do it to someone else. I've had enough of the likes of you.
