Tailbone pain?!
Isn't it the pitts? A few months out i rediscovered my tailbone, having completely forgotten it existed. I always had a majorly huge butt so it was never something i gave any thought to. yeah, ya gotta be careful how you sit now. a sheepskin cover for bicycle seat might work. once on big medicine or some other weight loss surgery tv show there was a lady who actually had a bit of her tailbone removed (along with her plastics) because of discomfort. who knew there could be such an issue?

I have a friend who had hers removed. But hers turned out to be broken. When she sat down, instead of tucking under, it would stick out. Yuck.
Mine tucks under and it rarely hurts at all these days so I guess my PCP was right (that I had bruised it in the past and it would just take time to heal, a couple of years, sometimes.)

I have the same issue. I sit a lot. My hubby felt it the other day and said it goes sideways...odd. But, I suppose that's me!! It's no where near as bad as the other pain I deal with, so I just basically suck it up and readjust my seating position when it gets too uncomfortable. I know when I had more padding I didn't have to worry about this kind of hiney pain!
Moparmemaw I dont have much information on the BUTT issue but I can tell you that I have a spur on my heal too and have had shots to help. The shots only helped for a month or two. But my medical technology teacher told me to try the shape ups. I bought a pair last semester and OOOOOOO what a difference it made. I didnt want to spend the 100 bucks on another pair so I bought the ones that walmart came out with . They work just aqs well but are only 25 bucks lol. But it make walking more pleasurable. I just did a weekend in New Orleans boubon Street. I just knew that my feet would kill me with all that walking. Nope only just a little soreness but not the usual cant put my foot down on a hot poker. Hope this information helps you....Sherri
I have a heel spur as well as the plantar spur so my left foot really gives me fits. I've had cortisone shots in my heel in the past and haven't had trouble with it until the plantar spur started hurting. Someone who has never had a spur cannot understand how horribly painful they can be. I have a very high tolerance for pain. (point - after VSG and gall bladder I didn't need any pain meds at home)
I even was wondering if I have a spur on my tailbone. It's possible. I hope not!
