Why is VSG cheaper in Mexico??

Wanted to know how the Mexican surgeons can charge so much less for the VSG as compared to here in the states?? 

Well they don't have a huge burocratic overhead....insurance companies, paperwork for insurance companies etc.  for one...

But also the nursing staff's salaries are very low.  They personnel costs to keep the place going is 1/4-1/3 of what personnel costs are here in the US.

First of all we pay the Mex Drs in USD$, and they pay their staff, hospital, etc en pesos. 2nd - ~$10k is realistically what it should cost in the states, however here all medical prices are WAYyyy over inflated!

 Now that someone's brought it up, I've been curious...how much is Mexican WLS?

It depends on the procedure and also on the hospital.  I have seen quite a variety of prices for the VSG from 5200-7950 US

Because they don't use any anesthesia when they operate on you there.
