First off, CONGRATS to you for doing that hike and making it to the waterfall! May I ask what area of the country that is? I'm so jealous! Something inside me has been wanting to start hiking. I'm just so proud that you were able to do that and enjoy the day!!
Throwing up children has to one of the worst things. My little girl got sick like that over Christmas. Well... we ALL got sick and it was just terrible! I think there should be rule against parents and kids being sick at the same time. hahaaha!

We had such a good time, My eating was Waaaaaaaay off track! and that has made it a little challenging now that we are home to get back in the groove. The good news is that we did a lot of walking and even climbed a mountain trail 1.25 miles at a pretty steep incline to the top of a beautiful waterfall! deff one of the highlights of the trip, the whole way up I was thinking "Thank you God I can do this now, no way I would have been able to 100 lb's ago!" while we were away my mom was watching our kiddo's and our middle daughter had a stomach bug, my mom said she was throwing up all over the place, then last night my 4 year old woke up crying and when I went into check on her she had thrown up all over her bed, and again numerious times through out the rest of the night, then at 5:30 this morning my 11 year old Son came into our room and said he had just thrown up! ugh! nothing like coming home from a great trip to house full of sick kid's, and now I am feeling a little nauseated myself
, hoping this all passes quickly, my poor kiddos

I've seen the ad for that turkey burger. How is it? I've never had a turkey burger before. I do like turkey substitutes but never made the switch for burgers.

Being about to sit in a chair with arms without being squished or in pain!
Not needing a cane or my handicapped tag anymore.
Not having to worry about where I park anymore, since I can easily walk as far as I need to.
Being able to tie my shoes - now I just need to FIND some for Wednesday!
Being able to ride a BIKE!! (and without looking like a total idiot)I really feel ya when you said 'Not having to worry about where I park anymore, since I can easily walk as far as I need to.' I so remember the days when I would circle and circle a parking lot in order to get the close spot. I would get winded just walking in from the parking lot. Congrats to you for making it so far in your journey!! I know that feel wonderful to have that freedom back in your life.

Here is the link to the book on amazon. It's been a good tool for me so far. It talks about losing slowly and working through the plateau as they come and go.
One thing about his book is he really stresses losing weight very slowly over months and months. Then once you hit the plateau he recommends staying there for up to 6 months. It allows your body to become accustom to being at that weight. Then you go back to eating a bit less and increasing workouts until you lose the next 10% of your body weight. When you lose the next 10% then the body needs time to 'hang out' at that size for a few months. I hope that makes sense!
I'm still reading the book, but so much of it just 'feels' right for me and my journey to lose the next 90 pounds.

Hi all! How's your week going?? I hope you are enjoying some summer weather!
Last weekend I was out of town and didn't eat on plan. I gained two pounds. The good news is that I'm doing well this week and I've already lost 1 pound and I'm sure to get the other one off soon! It's these little set backs that seem to really delay my progress this year. I'm down 17 pounds this year. It's better than gaining, but I WANT MORE!
HUGS everyone! Wishing you all a wonderful day from sunny NC!

My appointment with the trainer is this coming Wednesday at 10:30 and I still need to buy shoes... I plan to tell her I want to work on my abdomen and general muscle building rather than anything aerobic, since I expect to continue with aquasize, riding my bike and walking my dog.
I say my abdomen not because I expect to lose fat there, but because it sticks out (slack muscles?) and by flattening it somewhat I'll get a better result when they remove my pannus. I MAY go full tummy tuck, depending on how much the renos we have to do this summer cost. The pannus is covered under Alberta Health, but if I want a TT I have to pay the difference - about $6000. They'll also pay for a breast reduction, but not arms. Sad, because although a good bra would pretty much solve any issues I have with my breasts, my arms are scary.
My weight loss stopped dead just after the Dr said it was about to. sigh... Tell me about the book you're reading?

How do you make an omelet in a cup? I could use a simple diet-friendly lunch recipe.
Supper is generally a big salad with protein on. (salmon, chicken, shrimp, hard boiled eggs...) Breakfast is eaten before I'm truly awake, so I have it fully automated.
