Topic: RE: 5/11 Check in's!

I managed to drag myself out the door a bit earlier today and rode my bike to the Y for my aquasize class. I confess that partway there I regretted doing it, even though it's less than a kilometre away, but I managed, and peddling home was easier than expected. Now I think I want a nap. lol
My eating plan is doing ok - supper tonight is salad with grilled chicken breasts on top. It's one of my favourites, and takes about 10 minutes from start to plate - maybe that's why it's a favourite?

Hi everyone! We are already half way though the week.
I'm glad with it goes by quickly!!
We have a bad air quality day here in NC and I couldn't get in a walk this morning. I am going to the gym this afternoon to make up for it I hope! After a really emotional day yesterday I was so GLAD to see the scale down half a pound this morning.
I've lost 15 pounds of my first short term goal of 30 pounds! Half way there!
How are you today? How's your food / workouts or movement / emotions??

You're doing a great job, and are an inspiration. Even if you do go weeks or months at a time without a loss, you've still made huge strides. I can't wait until I'm down to where you are.

So, since I don't want to eat less either (I can only manage this level by being really strict about mealtimes, protein and fibre) my plan is to increase activity gradually so as to keep losing. Eventually my calorie intake and the amount I'm willing to exercise will intersect and I'll stop losing. At least, that's the theory.
Kelly-AnneI'm reading this good book on weight loss called Breaking Through your Set Point. It gives advice almost exactly the same as what you are following. A very slow approach to losing it. I think you are doing great and all of the sensible things. Congrats to you and keep us posted on your plastic surgery plans!

Their big thing is to not only lose but to make the loss permanent. They put me on 1400 calories a day and don't want me to eat less because they say that'll slow my metabolism, which would mean having to eat that even smaller amount for life if I don't want to regain. I have being doing ok, ate waaaaaay to much on mothers day, and I have had a hard time getting back on the ball with my eating! I am consitantly walking and exercising though, I hope to get my mind set back on determination again, I seem to have lost my umph lately.....
Thank you for your kind words regarding my little girl. I cried off and on all afternoon but talked to a teacher friend of mine that gave me some more info. I'm feeling more positive about it now. I'll post after her eval is done.
I know exactly how you feel regarding the eating. I went crazy eating over Easter. I was not in my home and had too many stresses and temptations! It was hard for me to jump back into eating right and moving. One thing I can so is be kind to yourself. You deserve to be smaller, reach your goals, gain better health, and to be proud of yourself. Just go for it! Our vacations are coming fast and you and me are sticking this out until then!!
You can do this!!

congrats on being in the 240's again! I know you were working toward that! try not to stress too much about your precious little girl, as long as she is healthy, who wants to be average anyway!
