congrats on being in the 240's again! I know you were working toward that! try not to stress too much about your precious little girl, as long as she is healthy, who wants to be average anyway! I pray everything will be just fine, it's hard being a mama!

I have being doing ok, ate waaaaaay to much on mothers day, and I have had a hard time getting back on the ball with my eating! I am consitantly walking and exercising though, I hope to get my mind set back on determination again, I seem to have lost my umph lately.....

I'm pretty new as well, having been turned down for WLS because I'd already lost almost as much as the Bariatric clinic considered would be a good outcome for me at my age and activity level. They weren't mean or anything, and have offered the removal of my panni (ulgly droopy "apron" in front) if I maintain my loss for 6 months.

My current plan is to stay on the eating plan they put me on (I get pretty hungry if I don't eat on schedule, but it really isn't that hard and I feel really good), increase my activity and see if I can lose some more that way.

I take aquasize class 3 days a week and just bought a bike. I hadn't been on one for 35 years, so wobbled quite a lot at first, but it's a lot of fun! My current weight goal is to slip under 250#, at which time I plan to celebrate by buying handlebar streamers for my bike.

Hi everyone! How's it going today??

I weighed this morning and was down. Yay! Just 3 more pounds to lose until I hit pre pregnancy weight. It's my little short term goal that I'm working on.

My little girl didn't have all that great of a dr's appointment and I came home and ate a little junk food. I knew it was wrong but couldn't cope. I put it down on my online food journal, ate a bit less when lunch came around, and I'm just going to try and keep calm. She is going to be fine, but it's just stressful when your child isn't 'average' when it comes to 'the charts' at doctor's offices. i know she needs the referral but I almost felt like asking for a Pysch referral for myself!! LOL!

A panni is the ugly droopy "apron" of fat and skin that hangs down in front. Mine has gotten uglier as I've lost weight and although flatter, is now wider than my actual body and completely covers my pubic area. If I was able to lose all of my excess my GP would refer me for removal (it's considered a health issue rather than cosmetic at that point, so is paid for by public health) but since the specialists at the Bariatric clinic say I've already lost pretty much all I can they'll refer me at this weight if I maintain my loss for 6 months.

I was going to have the VSG too, back in 2009, but I decided to do it natural, I have lost 105 lb's to date, and still working on losing the rest, good luck on your journey!

yes and I have hit a lot of those in this journey! my body has never been one to consistantly loose weight, I seem to lose a lot all at once then sit there for a while, (somethimes a long while) and then drop a lot at once again, that is pretty much how this has been for me the whole time, I would love to consistantly lose a certain amount per week or even per month, but that has just not been how its gone for me, I figure once I get there, to my goal that this is, it wont really matter how it came off or how how long it it took, just that I made it there!

Good for you! Sometimes we just have to deal with those plateaus, right?

I'm new to this forum as well. I had been hanging out at the VSG forum, and was actually scheduled for surgery this week but chickened out. I've been doing an okay job on my own the past few weeks. In April I lost about 12 pounds, and I hope to hit around 12 for May.

I know that shakes aren't the healthiest way to go, but neither is the alternative (WLS) right? But, they're working for me for now.

BTW, what's a panni?
