Glad to see you again! I read your reply on the other post! I'm excited to get the ball rolling on this weight loss again! When in July is your trip?
Oh, I'm sorry you are not feeling well! I hope you get to feeling better very soon. The weather here is just great, I would hate to be sick with these sunny skies.
Thanks for the warm welcome back!! My trip back to Texas is second week of July. It should be nice and HOT when I get there. hahaha! What you do for family, right?? It would be so nice to be down to 230 when I get there. I have summer clothes for that size. I know I'll feel better and not be too hot all the time if I weigh less than I do now. I have such a long ways to go, but I feel like taking it in small steps is going to help me do it this time around. YKWIM?

Hi all! I'm back from vacation! It was the first time my husband and I left our little girl 17 months over night. We had a really great time and web chatted with her on Skype every day. That really helped me just enjoy myself rather than worrying.
Vacation was amazing! I did TONS of walking and going up and down steps. I reduced my diet coke consumption A LOT and I ate portions that are the right size rather than crazy big portions.
I took a walk today and I honestly felt better after doing it. That was my first walk since being home and I just plan on sticking with the walking! I have a gym workout buddy and I hope we also start working out in the next week.
Anyways, I miss ya'll and I'm so glad to be back. Have a good week everyone!

How is it going? I decided to come and see how things were going around here, been a Loooooong time since I've visited this board, good to see some familiar faces, I dont go on Facebook too much either these days! my new thing is walking! I LOVE it! I could not afford the gym any longer so try to walk several 3 to 5 times per week any where from 3 to 6 miles each time! I have decided to stay off the scale for the time being instead I am measureing my success by a pair of capri pants that I want to fit in comfortably by June, My husband and I are going on a trip June 4-9 and I am using that date as my goal, The capri's fit now but are incredibly tight!! so I am working on it, I have them hanging up in my room so I can see them everyday as a reminder of what I am working for! so thats an update on me! hope you are doing awesome!

Zumba is great! I now go 2x a week at the gym, I didnt like it at first, I was verry cautous of moving in public after all its hard when you move your body and 3 counts later your fat rolls catch up with you... sorry its a little cynical but, it is what it is.
how are you doing so far? I hope you were able to stick with it!
As for October I will be 28 on the second! I plan on a night out of town where I can be someone other then mom for 24 hours! (single mom here)
Size 18 ROCKS!!! Enjoy and be proud of yourself!! I'm totally excited for you! I can't wait to keep reading your journey.

Sorry i have been off the computer for a while... I have lost a total of 40lbs but that is from July of last year... I have gone from a size 24 to an 18! I am excited! I also started calorie counting at first but found FOR ME that wasnt enough, as soon as I added the treadmill, even a mile at a time, i really started to see results! I was less hungry! I had more energy, it was adicting. Zumba is great! Wow! Thank you! I will save this and start clicking through those sites in the next week.

Congrats on your weight loss! I had a gym membership for 3 years and I lifted weights diligently while at the gym, at one point I was going 6 days per week! I actually just found my dumbells in the garage and brought them into the house, I started using them daily, they are just little 5 lb ones but I do my arm exercises on them, so its something! I am a busy mom too, so that has to count for some kind of strength training! lol! especially when my 4 year old wants me to carry her!

wow! congrats to you! i feel you on the losing the chain of a scale... yet i feel the pull once a week or so and feel bummed when it didnt move..... i am gaining muscle i know (i have been weight lifting for over 2 months) I also have gone from a 24/26 jean to about 16 depending on the designer. i fit comfortably in an 18. I am relativly new to this board as I was going to have surgery but was deneyed because of insurance and now am doing it the old fashioned way! Have you considered adding weights to your work out? building muscle does help burn more fat :)
