Topic: RE: What are you celebrating and proud of? Weekend Edition
Congratulations on joining WW! I just did that three weeks ago and feel really motivated this time. It's great you are pairing the exercise with it too....will certainly help you stay on track and feel better! Good luck to you on your journey.

Topic: RE: xpost - OT: Update on my Flying
OH BOY, Ruth, I'm so excited for you. You're going to do it and once you have that under your belt - yes you can go anywhere. I hope you can actually enjoy the experience. And then start planning that next vacation......
I don't know if you ever flew when you were morbidly obese - but I have to tell you flying when you are normal weight is so much easier. There is ton of extra room in the seat, plenty of space for the tray to come down when they hand out the only thing that is free - some cheap drinks. It's so much easier to get around in the airport and you can easily fit into the toilet on the plane etc. I think if you were trying to overcome a fear of flying while you were morbidly obese, it would have been much more difficult and uncomfortable.
I look forward to you posting after you've flown and telling us how it felt.

Wow, an hour of weeding and tree trimming - that's good exercise.
I was feeling really lazy today but I still went to the mall to walk - but I only walked 4 miles instead of my normal 5 - I guess being away on a mini vacation where I didn't get a lot of exercise really made an impact on my fitness - not in a good way. So I am proud that I did get out and walk. Next time it will be 5 miles again, at least I hope it will be.
Take care.

Hi Bridget and welcome back. Katya - what a pretty name for a little girl - she must be adorable. I can't imagine being on bed rest for most of your pregnancy - YIKES, you must have been miserable.
I look forward to reading your posts and I like your attitude about not wanting to pass your food issues onto your daughter.

Topic: RE: For the ladies - Provera
Ok my big concern is why did the doc just give u provera without doing some bloodwork to see what is going on? how soon post-op did the doc prescribe this? cuz the surgery affects your hormones, so when your body starts dropping the weight you also drop estrogen cuz it is fat soluble, so then your progesterone would be out of balance too- perfectly normal post-op..BUT if u have to take provera now, it has probably intensified the symptoms..did u check with your surgeon?
make sure u r taking some extra iron rich foods or a supplement
has the doc checked your thyroid? if your thyroid is out of whack your periods will get all wonky
also the doc should check your progesterone levels, that is why i am thinking they gave u provera..but it should be timed properly with the cycle
my advice is go back and talk to the doc and have some bloodwork
the nausea could be from the provera too
i took it for another reason, i was not having regular cycles and took it from day 1-10, ya it sucked but i only did it twice cuz i tried fixing my cycles with my naturopath, so far so good
i wish u the best of luck, i have been there and it sucks, u just wanna lay in bed and wait for it to pass
