Topic: What are you celebrating and proud of? Weekend Edition

Hello!
Anyone out there??
What you been up to?

Slowly but surely I'm healing.  I was up early and did my cardio walk...felt really good!

Today I'm proud I'm not giving up on my hopes to conquer my fear of flying.
I took an on-line course last night and today I'm taking another drastic step......Hypnotherapy.  I've never been a big believer in the process but I'm open to give it a try.  The flying lesson I did the other week did wonders but I'm not quite there yet so I need more help.  Like I said, I'm glad I'm not giving up.  Hopefully it will work for me today....If I come home and book tickets we'll know it worked.

So what about you??? What are celebrating and/or proud of??

I'll check back later to see what everyone has shared...

Good morning my fellow losers....lol

This morning I am once again proud that I pushed myself to walk.  I'm still having some internal battles with having to exercise on a regular basis.  Some is the fact I just don't want to swell but some and most of it is because I've been inactive for so long with recovering from 3 surgeries since Dec 2, 2009 that I've gotten soft/lax about doing it.  BUT I am making progress.  I was able to walk an hour today so I'm really happy about that....I'm up to 3.5 miles and that is more than enough for me to maintain my weight (If I do more I'll start losing again).  I have a personal goal of getting to 5 miles again just so I know I can do it but I'm happy to hit 3!

How about you....what are you celebrating or proud of today??  Please share.

I did it a few years ago for about four months. It works but honestly is best if you don't have to cook for others. My biggest problem with it was the cost, it is like any diet if you go back to the old way of eating the weight will come back fast. As far as the actual product, the oatmeal was gross, soups...chicken was OK the others were honestly real bad. Many people try recipes with the products and I think that hurts you. The shakes were OK more filling than say slim fast shakes. I was never hungry on this diet.

Welcome back. I like to come daily as part of my routine to keep on board with my diet. Sometimes it's not about shedding the weight, but about making healthy choices.

Maybe you might want to post about the things that you find hold you back and we can offer suggestions - I bet something like this would help all of us. There is a lot of wisdom here.

Hi Mrs Dodge - glad to welcome you and look forward to seeing your future posts on your journey.

I don't know about you, but when I followed a diet where I had to weight or measure my food it was a shock because I thought I knew how much I was eating LOL clearly not.

As for that early morning treadmill - ugh that is really hard. If I had a dollar for every time DH and I planned to do it and didn't - well we would be really, really rich. I found it just easier to get our walking in right after work before dinner - and then dinner is something quick to make or already prepared and just heated to serve.

If you do get started on that morning treadmill routine - then I bow down to you... and hope you can do it.

(((HUGS))) It is hard to start and to find both the time and the energy. But you should be proud that you've made a start. If you keep doing it the kids will begin to respect your routine, and maybe the 7 year old will join in if it looks like fun.

The bonus will kick in a few days when you start to have more energy - but it's so hard to get over that humongous hump. Look around for places where you can add exercise seamlessly so it just become second nature - taking stairs at work, parking farther away from the entrance etc. They are little things that add up.

I know you can do it because not only have you started but you're thinking about how to keep it up.
