I am so happy I did find you guys!!!!
I drink A LOT of water I don't think I have ever drank as much water in my life lol!
The Optifast isn't that bad - my husband did it last year so I knew what to expect. I am mixing it with a lot of different things - da vinci coffee flavourings the sugar free calorie free ones and the lorann ice cream flavoring the sugar free and calorie free too and diet pop and Ice.
This may be a stupid question/idea but did you ever think or boiling water and putting spice in it and eating it like soup??? I thought of it with the cold days coming but I didn't know if that would make it worse or not :( Any ideas or feed back?
The behaviourist is Matt and I think dietician is Michell (I may be wrong my book isn't with me)
What week are you on?
Do you have any tips or tricks?

Last week: 180
This week: 178
Ooh...and this means my BMI (I'm only 5 feet tall) is now 34.8...one of my mini-goals was to get below the qualification for WLS which I was seriously considering.

Congrats on 8 pounds! Well done! (Remember to record that for hump day weigh in tomorrow!)
Our class worried about the transition to food as well. They had reorganized the order of units covered form the last time I did this 10 years ago...much more logical now. We had a mix of nutrition and behaviour throughout. I read ahead lots of units so I started meal planning on my own (and playing around on My Fitness Pal...that really helps with food tracking).
(Our class started off at 25 down to 16 or so now...then there's another class at the same time, same size. One class weighs in while the other has session then we switch for last half). It's quite the popular program here.
Are you taking a multi-vitamin and Vitamin D? In our classes they really stressed making sure you took the vitamin D to help combat the tiredness. It will get better and easier. By the time you are finished the 12 weeks you will actually think that staying on the shakes is easiest thing to do.

I'm glad my classes are in the morning too. Of course it does mean that our class isn't very big. There is only 7 of us.

We were forewarned that we may notice tiredness during the early weeks of Optifast. Be sure to bring that up at your class next week at WMC. It will get easier and you will start to feel better once your body gets in to ketosis. And don't forget to drink your water!
How are you finding the Optifast? Are you mixing anything with it or doing it straight?
Out of curiosity, who are your dietation and behaviourist for your classes? I have Chris as dietitian and Cathy for behaviour (she really "gets it").
Tammy
So this is Day 4 of optifast and I am so tired. Is anyone else exhausted? I was excited to start the Optifast 900 but now it seems like it is a lot harder than I thought!

Soaking softens it up...and the chia seeds expand/soak up 9 times their size. It's still kind of crunchy but not as much as straight from the bag.
Thanks to those who already did homework for me and looked up ingredients at Bulk Barn...I will try that as well.
Apparently it got it's name when it was proposed as a product to market on the TV show, Dragon's Den. When the Dragon's tasted it, one of them (I believe it was the CEO of Boston Pizza) said, "Holy Crap, that's good!" then reached for someone else's bowl to eat their. He is also the one who invested in it.
