Husband and I have Galaxy S3's, which we got right after they came out. The S5's are very nice, though not much of an upgrade from the S4's. My husband is actually an Android programmer, and he says the Galaxy phones are pretty much the best value right now, the hardware is very stable and they tend to be first in line to receive new system updates and the latest versions of Android.

Why aren't people protesting at the White House the way they would if someone tried to ban guns or increased taxes to better the education system?

Why is everyone just shrugging and grumbling under their breaths instead of standing up for their rights and trying to change the police state they live in?  Especially when it has been found (by government officials) not to actually preventing more than what they prevented before, especially in respect to how illegal it is to invade peoples civil liberties?

Why?  Because the majority of Americans are low information voters.  The worst of them listen to Faux Nooze and believe it's the only "non-biased" media outlet in the country.

People who believe that it's no big deal to have the gubmint invade their privacy without any justification are fools.  It's pathetic to witness how many people willfully will swallow a crap sandwich and think it's delicious.

It's easy to pick out the clueless.  Ask them how much they hate the ACLU and watch their faces turn red and fill with rage on what a horrible organization it is.

Topic: Freedom From Religion

Mustang, Oklahoma about 3 miles from the Hobby Lobby corporate headquarters has decided to start teaching a bible history class.  This was after the owner of Hobby Lobby petitioned the Mustang School Board to do this several months ago.  This is just ridiculous.  Please contact the Freedom From Religion Foundation to get involved.  Oklahoma continues to be the laughing stock of the nation.  SMH!

I have the Droid Maxx, which I bought because I was tired of the limited battery life of my Droid 4.  Most of my bluetooth accessories are for Androids, so I stuck in the same family.

Topic: RE: Serial Killers

I once looked a notorious ( in Texas anyway ) serial killer right the damn eyes-on accident of course. His name was Kenneth McDuff. My mother and I were on a tour of the Ellis Unit outside of Huntsville, Texas. ( aka the now former Death Row for male inmates ), and was in the infirmary with my tour group. McDuff happened to be in there at the same time we were. ( I don't remember exactly why he was there ). I happened to glance up and look around. He was staring right at me. His eyes were devoid of anything resembling color....except they were rimmed with red. Scary. Super scary. I was freaked out.  I held it together until the tour was over.

Side note: one of the rules during the tour: no eye contact with inmates. Oops.

Topic: RE: What is your family like?

I've never had any major issues with my kids, unlike what I dealt out to my parents as a teen.  But that doesn't mean that I haven't had to stand firm and tell them point blank that I thought my generosity or efforts were being taken for granted.  Parents don't expect their kids to bow down to them for everything we do, but there does come a time when it better be recognized or I will be up in their faces explaining the facts of life.

But honestly letting your kids get beaten up a few times by their own poor decisions is sometimes more helpful then paving the way for them.

Looking forward to our sailing trip in thie British Virgin Islands next month.  Won't be down to near where I need to be - still I should be about 30-35 pounds lighter than when we made the reservations and should fell much more comfortable in my summer clothes that were too tight last year.  Also looking forward to spending many, many weekends on our sailboat and pontoon boat docked at Lake Lanier (GA) and playing with my 3 grandkids.

Also, if my husband can ever get his back and should okay, riding with him on his Goldwing should be much more comfortable than before too.

What a fun topic!
