The Hot Dog Shoppe in Warren Ohio is famous for this concoction. It is freshly cut and fried potatoes smothered in their own recipe chili sauce and then covered with melted cheddar. People always stop for this when they come back to town. We get the state governor to stop sometimes for chili fries with cheese.
