People were already doing it, now they just don't have to sneak around.   I think contributions should be abolished completely.  Instead, there should be a general fund for all candidates.  Gifts & Presents to elected governmental officials is the downfall of politics.

Im katie. had vsg on march 10th. I am glad to have a place I can find other people who get what I'm going through.

I'm a month in and 33 lbs down. Still working on eating more than an oz at a time. Much more of a head game than I had expected and I had been reading the boards and preparing for surgery for almost 2 years.

Glad to have a place to let my hair down :D

I've been on 6 cruises and have another one scheduled for this fall.  I love seeing the different places and learning about their way of life. Roatan and Belize are great stops.  Poor, but friendly.  I did a rainforest tour in Puerto Rico and it was lovely.  I stick with the Ship Excursions and have never felt unsafe.  I cruise Carnival.  Someday I do want to cruise the Med!!

I chose Nana because I wanted something different than I called my "Momaw" or that my Mom is called "Grandma".  To me Granny will always make me think of the Beverly Hillbillies so I couldn't go with that.  Mimi seems to be popular also.

I had my RNY in Dec. 2006. I lost 275 lbs in 20 months and maintained my loss for a number of years. I regained 92 lbs after I lost three members of my family- it was a very dark, sad time for me. After a number of false starts, I was able to get back my healthy lifestyle and I have lost the 92 lb. gain. I have been maintaining for six months. I guess I am a "vet" but honestly I only know what has worked for me; I don't consider myself an expert on WLS do's and don'ts. I do believe I have some experience that others might find helpful and if asked will share.

Hi,

I am almost five years out form VSG surgery.  I have been maintaining for the last 4.5 years within a ten pound window.  Today I hit my low goal weight (again) and I am sure not for the last time as over time things change and I keep needing to make appropriate adjustments.  VSG has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself and I have no regrets at all.  Sometimes, I have silly random thoughts, that have nothing at all to do with VSG, and it will be great to have a place to share them.  Beware, pictures of cute puppies, hats, shoes, and very serious perfume discussions could all end up here at strange hours of the day.
