I guess not as I mentioned I'm new here. That's why I wanted to know how ppl felt about this website.
Obviously in that situation they should speak to their doc or nut. I'm talking about when ppl ask a regular question for example. What are u eating after post op? I've seen this one b4 n some ppl response is ask nut really. Ppl r just looking for support. Common sense if it's a medical concern they should ask their doc.

Well then honey you must not have read to many posts on OH. There are numerous posts on the different boards that ask things like " I'm three weeks out, but have not restriction and the cookies go down with no problem did I stretch my pouch"? Or "I'm six months out, but only lost 30lbs and can eat anything what is wrong"?
And when you try and explain things to these people they get their panties all bunched up because we don't pat them on the back and say "oh it's OK don't worry everything will be fine".
This is Obesity Help not rainbows and unicorn farts help.
I'm fairly new myself to this site and I have seen good and bad. Mostly good in my opinion. I know a lot of people say "talk to your doctor or ask your doctor" but I think it is also valid in a lot of cases because they are not medical people. In most cases they and are concerned for your safety and health. I'm sure for some people that are post-op that certain comments raise red flags for them based on personal experiences, so they are telling you to contact the doctor because they are genuinely concerned based on personal experiences where they may have had to contact the doctor. I know it may seem like a lame response sometimes but please keep in mind they are just trying to help and support you :-) I hope you continue to come to OH and take the good with the bad learning to just ignore the bad. :-) I must say that I am quite shocked by some of the comments I have read here today. It makes me sad that when peoples opinions are disagreed with they respond with unkindness and insults instead of just letting it go.
