alternate way to get to ypsilanti.
I have been researching getting to ypsilanti without driving myself the entire way.
I have found out:
Via runs trains to Winsdor (about $100 round trip) There is a bus that runs 2 to 3 times an hour from downtown windsor to downtown detroit ($2.35) Amtrak runs from Detroit to Ann Arbour ($14)
Cardinal Tours runs Casino Tours to Winsdor Casino on Mondays from Southern Ontario. ($25.00 plus either $15 food or gambling credit) I know it leaves Hamilton at 9:30am - arrives Windsor at 1:30 (they have a rest stop half way through) The bus leaves again at 6:30 and you are back in Hamilton aroud 10:30. Enterprise rent a car is only about $35 for the day.
Flights are $217 from Buffalo. ground transport from Hamilton to Buffalo is $75 and ground transport from Romulus to Ypsilanti is about $40 round trip.
(Spirit air, I think)
hope this helps someone.......
I am still not sure what I will do for the 25th. My usual shopping buddy can't make it and I need Ken at home to get the kids to swimming and gymnastics. I don't think I will be up to it to drive the entire way there and back - even with the usual overnight stay that I have been taking....
The casino bus seems pretty cost concious and give me more than enough time to get to the clinic - mapquest says it is 44 minutes from the casino.
