20-25 pounds of loose skin....

I had 3 consults for plastics and asked the question of the weight of the lose skin at all times. I was told that even with 100 lb weight loss, it can vary but when they weigh the skin after the procedures, it rarely totals more than 5 or 6 lbs.  When mine was done, he estimated "about 3 lbs" at the most but "probably less" and felt this was typical.

I had butt and thigh work but maybe there would be a bit more in the abdominal area but it couldn't be that much more.

I can attest Cynci you are a tiny petite lady now, your surgeon did a great job.    If I can ever afford my lower facelift I will definitely be checking him out.

I know nothing about all the math hoo-haw concerning loose skin, however, did check out your pics. The one of you in the bathing suit in march doesn't really seem to have ANY loose skin, so not sure why your surgeons are telling you that.

Are you sure the PS and surgeon didnt just mean you have 25 lbs of excess weight (skin included)?

there is no way you could have 25 lbs of excess skin.

i doubt my excess skin even weighs 3 lbs and im down 86 lbs so far.

I know everyone is different but 25 lbs is sooo much skin!!!!!!

Geez, I started with about 150 lbs of excess skin..maybe if I would have consulted a plastic  surgeon first, i could have avoided the  whole RNY thang!
