Bread? Flour? Almond Flour? Carbquick?
Hey Elizabeth,
I went over to the Low Carb Grocery and picked up some CARBQUICK. There are a lot of recipes on the box and on line. I hve tried to biscuits, and the breading for chicken/fish. Not terrible, and my diabetic husband can eat them too. It's very expensive though, about $20 for the box. There is a recipe on the web for a yeast based roll. I want to try it, but haven't had time. Thies whole process is mind boggling, even 8 months out. I've just gone back to work, and am having a hard time figuring out what to take for lunches. If i take too much, i'll eat too much. Just keep trying things till you find the combo you enjoy. This is a life long journey, so you have plenty of time to experiment.

Hey girly
Make sure you visit the RNY board each day the cooking mava's are always at it with low carb inventions......... they have used Carbquick a lot - some reported back it did cause them constipation.
I see them substitute almond flours - buckwheat pancake flour- and carbquick into many recipes.
Chk out eggfaces "bites" she has some yummy selections for breakfast options.
I am over a year out and still learning about new foods and substitutions everyday- something recently I have bought but just haven't cooked yet is "Quinoa" they sub it in place of rice.....so that might be something you want to try.
hugs
